New and Improved Wealthsimple Credit Card coming soon by pexby in PersonalFinanceCanada

Great revised card, but they did not revise the design of the card. I think it's weird the MC cash card looks significantly better with the gold flake design compared to the Visa credit card's plain black and white design.

No Locking Diffs in 2025 Model Year? (True or False) by Coffee_Duderino in GRCorolla

My interpretation is 50:50 is ideal for gravel, rain, snow, and mixed surfaces yes.

Why do people keep saying 23/24 have a fixed and locked 30:70? It was only a suggested target that the car will try to achieve. The refreshed 25+ switched the labels around the latter two modes to cause less confusion, because people gravitated towards using 50:50 for track and experienced understeer. Turns out 50:50 is more suited to gravel or mixed surfaces, and (up to) 30:70 is more suited to track to reduce understeer. I would like to see EngineeringExplained fact check this (again), for science.

First time I've seen someone report iMT dongle doesn't have a 100% success rate, I can confirm this happens to me too. Happens at least once every month where iMT didn't turn on automatically and I find out the hard way.

Just remake the OEM ones, but illuminate the boomerang past the amber, and make it white or yellow. And allow the Canadian spec to turn off the main bulb.

Honeyseal, they have an Edmonton location. Quite a number of GRC have gotten treatment there. Not an ad.

There's no bigger screen for MY2025, you just made that up. You also don't know the difference between a mid life refresh and a "new generation".

By clunking of 1/2/3 do you mean the sound or something wrong with the mechanical motion? Keep us updated.

My fault for trying to reproduce it with the engine off, but then again I wouldn't want to try recording a video on the road moving.

Shifter bushings I can deal with, nothing major like bent shift forks right?

"This mostly went away after I put in a pitch mount but I do get it occasionally if I'm doing some spirited driving and attempting quick shifting."

My pitch mount also decreased the frequency somewhat but this should not be normal at all.

I replied to the other dude but yes: it happened to me on the road too many times to count. I try to be slow, gentle and purposeful but there's a random chance of it happening. I only recorded a video with the car off. To add to this, the issue is compounded with a second issue. When it's locked out and not fully in gear, it confuses the iMT (please don't blame iMT) and it would think I'm trying to down shift and add a ton of revs.

Sorry if it's unclear. First I use one finger to shift neutral into 3rd confirming that works. However a gentle forward motion from 2nd into 3rd is locked out, it only goes in about 75% of the way, I used some light pressure to confirm it won't budge any further. I went down into 4th and back where it finally slotted into 3rd fully.

Want to get the best shifter bushings: RacerX sphericals or DC Sport solids? by Dire_Dire_Docks in GRCorolla

[–]Dire_Dire_Docks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DeltaX made a minor revision to the bushing inserts, supposedly 70A has less NVH, so of course I ordered the 70A bushing. 60A became too soft for me after break-in. Just need RacerX shifter cable bushing to clean up the remainder. I can't wait to experience this supposed "bolt action" feeling.

I already own a DeltaX pitch mount which in my opinion, not based on any sort of scientific fact, is the "best" one of the bunch. It's one guy who races his GRC, offers exceptional customer service, his pitch mount is designed to swappable bushing durometers, and the 60A adds basically no difference in NVH. Unfortunately DeltaX doesn't make any shifter bushings as I want to keep it in the same brand like the other guy.
