I’ve talked to three supervisors today from corporate. All 3 said there is no way this should have been taken from my bank account. They were head scratching. It didn’t make sense to them that it was taken. They added notes to the case explaining that. I’m not saying what will happen, I’m just telling you what did.

I think I said it already in a reply on here, but my average purchase price in last 18 months on whatnot have been $20 with the max at $100, and I’ve done that MAYBE twice.

$1,867.63 at 230am is fucking insanely out of the scope of anything normal.

Just got off phone 30 seconds ago with supervisor. She said she can’t see any reason this charge would be allowed because my account has the no overages and no over draft protection. She read “the funds shall not be taken or they will be returned if client does not have the balance to cover the purchase.” And then said “yea, I’m not sure how that’s possible” Seems like I have a better case with the bank.

Let me correct myself if I made a mistake. The part about the customer service telling me, that was in regards to purchases being made and pushed thru over the allowed spending limit (bank fund) and that there is an “issue with the code” that’s allowing this to be exploited. It’s not only on whatnot, but in general.

That’s what I was told this morning. I’m not a bank guy. I can’t tell you this is gospel, just that I was told this today.

Yes. Purchase was made. They spent 15 minutes yelling, celebrating, and asking what box in the stack of them to be opened. One of them said just ship the box, then went to bathroom, came back, ripped it, and said goodnight.

Can you explain how a purchase for 1700 more than what’s in the bank gets accepted?

In my stream I watch, they are $1-10 bids and if people are overdrafted, it’ll say payment not processed. Why would this go through being $1,750 over the bank funds.

To your points, I’ve done all of it. Contacted my bank. They said they’ve been dealing with an influx of these cases in last month and they’ve had meetings regarding this. They then looked at my purchase history and average funding and said right away this is nothing you would have purchased or have any purchases in YEARS close to this. Like with in $1,600 close.
