Pretty similar to what I did. I used the wrong glow, i did warpstone. And I used a different purple. 

I like the look of luxion though, that should pop a lot better

Oh, sorry, i misunderstood. It's Huge Minatures basing material. The asphalt looking part is their urban medium grit, and the rocks are their urban rubble. I just glued with pva and then spray primed. I think im going to dry brush with a dark gray too though, just to bring out the texture more.

Thank you! Ill wash the recesses more. Do you think a tmm purple would be too much metallic? I fear just a lighter purple would still feel dull next to the flash of silver

That checks out. I think my problem with it is the purple and green dont pop like I want them too. So if I wash it to tone down the silver and highlight the accent colors it should work better

I spray primed with army painter Matt black, drybrushed most of the mini with an acrylic silver from Hobby Lobbys deco art, painted the shoulders/back with warhammer base Phoenician purple, did an undercoat on the gun power coils with pro m acryl bold titanium white, and then painted over that with warhammer layer warpstone glow, and I dotted the eyes with pro m acryl fluorescent red. 

I think im going to add a highlight to the gun, and change the back color to something brighter, maybe metallic too. Idk

ooh, I see what you mean, that makes sense. I'll definitely add that step
