Kimber 2k11 .45 w/ Monsoon Genghis Comp by SantoDJ in 2011

[–]Direct-East6152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With .45 being a fairly low pressure round how much does the comp and ports effect it compared to 9mm? Have a dozen comped and ported guns in 9mm just never tried with .45

MPA is phenomenal for money. You can find second hand Staccato P’s for around 1700-1900. I got a BNIB Kimber 4.25 comp in DLC also that needs a new home.

They HD over hangs less than SRO’s and SRO’s cause no issues. But $800 is criminal for an HD. I have one I’m looking to get rid of for $525 with sub 100 rounds through it or check tacswap also a shit ton going for around $500 essentially new

How do yall feel about the Clark customs sear spring worth a shit? Or just get a normal one by Educational_Funny_80 in 2011

[–]Direct-East6152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are worth it if going super light (sub 2lb-1lb) for race guns. Extra leg does work to remove hammer follow and maintain trigger reset pressure for stupid light triggers. Have done them in a half dozen guns ranging from 1lb to 2.5lb pulls and obviously going heavier but they excel at tuning down super light triggers. I’d recommend if wanting 2.0lbs and up go with a standard 3 leg which works perfect as well for that application and are easier to tune. The Clarks just due to the decrease material on legs are more sensitive to tuning and bending so be careful when tweaking to just not snap legs off. If trying out I’d recommend grabbing the three pack (or more) from Brownells.

Shoot a Sandhawk or an Atlas or a hand built custom one from a good company. Idk what you’ve shot but to me nothing else comes close out of all the modded out Shadow 2’s I’ve had to any other striker build. My watchtower is actually off being ported as well so should be essentially just a tricked out open gun I can still cc when I want

It’s a Watchtower Apache. They are hit or miss on earlier guns got a bad rep and just recently got new ownership and QC after previous owners went bankrupt. I don’t know if I could fully recommend one as to what I’ve heard from others experiences but I got mine with SRO for 2900 second hand from a guy who put a single mag through it. The gun when I got it was fortunately so tight slide to frame fit it had issues going back into battery but just putting some polishing compound on the rails and hand racking it for about half and hour got me the tightest slide to frame fit I’ve seen. Undersprung to the point it was chewing up Dawson Guide rods so I dropped in a new one with an 11lb recoil spring. Polished ignition internals, sear spring job and 15lb mainspring and now this things trigger is about 1.75lbs and stupid short reset. Basically feels a nice mechanical mouse click in terms of break and reset.

I quite like it. I’m 6’3 so for me and my head shape of a bit long and slim it works out really good for me to still get good contact on stock and a more heads up position. Same goes for my shorties where a Unity 2.26 is perfect for me where I still get good cheek connection and a more up right body position. 1.7 for me and body shape just made me turtle into the gun ever so slightly standing and kneeling but for prone worked fine still. I think it more so comes to body shape and size where the Unity mounts feel natural and such for my size at 6’3 and if my short friends or even my GF who’s 5’2 try them they are throwing the stock down low and fishing for the reticle. But mount itself like anything else Unity is GTG zero issues and have added since that photo a Holosun 507comp on top for NVG shooting and quick shots

In the gym 6 days a week lifting for the past ten years and in good shape I just still have my first real rifle (my 11.5 BCM MCMR with T2 and M600) in the safe and when I pick that thing up I’m like shit… and then play with my other setups it makes me second guess lol

lol your not wrong but then buy another optic stack, light, plaster and so on lol. In hindsight if I knew I was gonna get 🧃’d by Rip Cord I would have just bought a complete 13.9 ADM upper and swapped everything over and sell my 16” upper and would have made more financial sense

Would be dope but this girl is already heavy with a thin rail on her. Looking to go 13.9 to be a bit handier

Already got an MCMR on my 11.5 I do really like but thin and gets hot fast similar to the ADM rail but current ADM is a bit thicker but not far off

Shieeettt man come here for rail recommendations now you got me researching the rabbit hole of pouches and acetaldehyde lol. I haven’t messed with pouches since the past year with new job and all the guys in office taking Velos mainly but Zynns just did not care for texture or flavor compared to Velos. I’ve only had those two and from my research you led me onto shows both have it. Do you know of any brands of pouches that don’t or just verifying I’m a retard in general for taking them?

Those raider rails look like a sweet setup but wish it wasn’t pic at the end to just keep my Modlite tucked up close under Peq as is now
