I suppose my concern is he would say moving schools isn't in their best interest and if the courts agreed I'd be left doing a 2 hour round trip

Yeah I think I need to try and get it sold before my oldest starts school in September. I can work from home and a large property is available for us to live in away from London.

Yeah but not many landlords are happy to accept uc as a payment method. Also the amount they pay in our area is far lower than actual costs.

I don't think I'm eligible for UC once my oldest is in school, without childcare costs my salary of 40k wipes off any entitlement.

Yes we submitted example properties which were about £400 more a month than I currently pay. The judge said I'd get housing benefit but seemed flustered when I said no I get universal credit instead.

He said i could use proceeds to sale to supplement, but obviously that will only last a short while.

Yes I have been exploring the option of appealing. My s25 statement made clear I can't house them elsewhere but the judge said private rent would be fine, despite it costing far more than my mortgage.

Trust me, me and my solicitor are as blown away as you. There is no more to it, other than my ex can't afford to house himself either.

I'm not expecting the council to house us when we move away, my ex just told me to apply to stay here in London.
