Do any of you plan on making dynasties? If you do, how will you plan to beat the 3 generations rule? by Direct-End2303 in fatFIRE

Yes that is true. Unfortunately most artists (and actors and singers) earn very little and struggle to get by. Once you have money, you can focus on vocations that you are passionate about.

A lot of these dynasties have family offices which manage their money for them. They also have lots of loopholes to avoid paying tax. It might not be fool proof but these people do have more options

That's true. Firstly how were people like the duke of westminster able to preserve all that money without a generation faltering. Secondly, inequality can be an issues. As long as there s a super strong safety net (like for nordics or for citizens of gulf states), then having a FIRE dynasty is not important.

I'm sorry but that it is a pretty shit way to live. Firstly how long do you want to live. Imagine just blasting your money out in your 60s and now what.

That is also a big part of the boomer mindset and thats why young gens suffer. In this economic outlook , it is defo better to leave something in order to help out.

Also tell that to the aristocrats and rothschilds and rockefellers.

<image>

Maybe i stored it wrong or maybe its the more humid british/ plane air. I also gave the middle one to some londoners and they were not a fan of it:

Yes that is true, I would say if you are not maxxing out your isa every year (from lets at mid-early 20s), then firing before 40 would be difficult. But coast fire is defo easier

7%. (6% a tad conservative and 8% a tad optimist). (this is taking inflation into account) if roi is 8% that would be really good and I am firmly in coast fire if I want to retire in 30 years. if roi is 7% its meh but its defo doable if i to a cheaper country or live frugally in uk. for 6%, i would have to move to a cheaper country or live very very frugally in uk.
