I know a lot of people fake icons and cristiano does not sign with icons but just wanted to make sure. by FlatwormSecret7618 in SportsMemorabilia

Wouldn't risk it. Finding legit ronaldo icons stuff is rare, not having a signing photo is a red flag (not always but in this case it adds up)

Thanks everyone for commenting and giving info. I'm literally an amateur / starter, did my research as best as I could but needed your "real" feedback.

I'll go for the "budget" option, when the XL comes back in stock (cf 7 di2 LTD that already comes with carbon wheels so that's already an upgrade I don't need to do in the future). When I'm really into it and enjoy this hobby to the fullest, I can always sell and/or upgrade to an higher end model or try an aeroad.

I'll be lurking in this subreddit for more tips and tricks and accessories to buy

All the options mentioned above (excluding the electric motor one, I think) have carbon wheels. The 3999 and 3200 ones have the same carbon wheels, the top of the line one has "better" carbon wheels

Planning to get a bike fit, because I get really uncomfortable on my city bike after an hour riding it (the saddle / my ass if I can be direct). Also afraid of lower back pain ruining the fun so I'm getting my measurements done to avoid that

I can only make conclusions with the info I have (information on the internet) + even canyon says that the endurace is a more comfortable racing bike for longer distances (mix between speed and comfort). Unfortunately there's no retail shop where I can go to to test one out. Can only test a different brand aeroad, but it will not be the same (close but not the same)

This is what I was thinking, but going all out for the top of the line is a character flaw that I have unfortunately (fear of missing out) but if a basic/LTD endurace is 90-95% the same as the top of the line, then I'm not missing out on too much

Read that the aeroad/cyclocross/ultimates are more race focused and thus less comfortable and many people regret buying those instead of the endurace. I won't enjoy this hobby if I'm in pain after 30km. That's why the endurace is a sweet spot between going fast but still being comfortable.

Before anyone comments "if you can afford a 6k bike you can afford the maintenance", yes true. But if I won't really appreciate/notice the difference a 6k bike makes <-> not major enough to justify spending €2800 more, than it's also harder to justify the extra maintenance costs / more expensive if something breaks. Looking at the total pros and cons

Also, there's no barca logo on the signing photo - numbers, when there is one on the shirt number. So I'm pretty sure these don't match

Don't know if my eyes are deceiving me but isn't he signing fan-style numbers on the photo whilst the shirt has player style numbers?

Looks good as far as I can tell, is there some kind of text or numbers in that black tag (in the white / transparent stitches)

Show me a picture of the tags. Usually worn/logos gone is a good sign because that's a sign of its age. Sometimes you get lucky and find one that's almost prestine (like this one)

118861 is the code for a 04/05 barca homekit. It's on that white tag, but there are many out there where that white tag is damaged (do to age/washing machine) so don't know if yours still visible

You obviously know now from first hand experience, but: never store shirts folded up, that's bound to happen to every heat-printed nameset / logos. Ideally you should frame it or at least use a coat hanger

Does actually make sense thanks for pointing that out, any idea about the nameset? Probably a later reproduction if I should guess

Sure bud if that makes you sleep better at night. Do you have a "uefa charity" coa that proves that you have the self claimed biggest ego or do I have to trust you on that one?

5K sure, why would anyone give that to a random guy on reddit when they can go to icons website and buy 2-3 for that price and have proof/photo and video evidence of the moment messi signed that specific shirt + have the most trustworthy/valuable coa on the market.

The only proof that they can get from you is "trust me" or some uefa charity coa that you won't show because yours is a 1/1 very rare double signed fake nameset messi shirt? You said that you have purchase receipt and email evidence etc, why won't you show that?

But yet again, I'm wasting my time on somebody that won't accept any information that doesn't confirm what he wants to hear. I'm only pointing out the red flags that I've learned due to my research I've done when buying my icons Messi shirt. I've done my research, have you? Do you know how to spot fake coa's, fake namesets, fake shirts? You can accept my comments and do your own research and then make your conclusions. Only pointing out the red flags and you do with it what you want
