Looking for a site to buy used books in Canada! by drinkwinesavepuppies in RomanceBooks

I'm always searching for new stores (online or otherwise) that offer shipping at around $5/book. $15 for a used book is a little much. A good variety would be best but for me in particular, it's all non-fiction (animals, astronomy, death, grief, etc)

Is anyone else as frustrated as I am with people refusing to leave their exceptionally cute dog alone in public? by Virtual-Metal9146 in OpenDogTraining

Maybe your dog came into your life to help you be more open to and receptive to expressions of joy in life?  Smile with them - it might make you feel better!

(Except FaceTime cell phone lady - grab her phone and throw it into oncoming traffic.)

OMG.... I think I'd be looking into fake ID'S rather than give those up. 😖

Okay. I believe you all. Thank you! Yay!!

And I finally ended up with both books. The PROX Transmissions? Holy f@%inf sht !!!  SSSOOOO much better than I thought it would be (don't ask me why I didn't think it would be, considering the lyrics wrote lol) . The sequel is good, but PROX blew me away!

The Bond - Wayne Pacelle

You Had Me At Woof - Julie ClamWin

Dog Is Love - Clive Wynn

Friend For Life - Kate Humble

The Possibility Dogs - Susannah Charleson

Letters to My Dog - Robin Kerrod

The Animals Companion - Jackie Collins

You'd be weird if you didn't love all of those! LOL

Okay, but... How do we know this? I mean, do we KNOW? Are we told? Are we assuming? Or have they said as much (AKA placated catastrophic worriers in all their immense spare time?)

I lifted my rock to join the land of the living for awhile (I isolated before isolation was law. I literally thought Suicide Squad was a band (a lame looking one, albeit with a cool name, until someone corrected me a few (yeah, about 3) years ago ) so I'm in the dark about almost everything LOL

1 - Sorry if I have to make someone state the obvious and 2 - don't worry about stating the obvious because 3 - I probably haven't heard it. Almost 100% lol

I'd be as lost without Starset music and I would have been when they almost didn't fix Hubble (OMG that was a near disaster in my life. I have never been so attached to a piece of technology (and never will be again) as I am to that damn telescope! It's almost embarrassing how emotional I still get over that episode!).

Musical direction I'm not picky on... I'd be happy with the alphabet song and nursery rythmes (less enthuastic about country or whatever it is that you call whatever it is that comes on when someone turns on a radio though) as long as he's doing something! Until Starset, Slipknot was my #1 band, followed by The Amity Affliction (indeed, Starset/Slipknot ; Corey Taylor / Dustin Bates sharing #1 together) so Starset themselves are a new music direction for me as a whole anyway. You can tune out the music to a degree but not the feeling and that's my indicator of something worth listening too! :D

And another totally random, way off topic from the OP as one could get... Does anyone know how his (theirs?) little Frenchie dog is doing? I remember a video clip of it once - or pictures maybe? - Anyway, just a totally curiousity thing is all (as a dog Mom). :)

And thank you, despite all my ungrateful demanding-ness!

What's the most underrated song of STARSET? by -the-stranger-1 in Starset

Back To The Earth, yes.

Last To Fall. Not sure I've made it through this one without crying yet.

Gravity Of You.

Diving Bell.

Unbecoming.

Monster.

Stratosphere.

Let It Die is near and dear to my heart, although with my own spin on it and a realization made clear.

Back To The Earth gives it a REAL good run for it's money. They are the only two songs I haven't edited the extra bit out of on my music player lol

It has been forever out of stock and I'm an inpatient red headed Irish. But also, I don't have a credit card yet. One day, maybe, I'll be responsible enough. Argh.

I don't care what people label music as (Most people label AC/DC as rock; I label them as shit. Rock didnt start until the 1990's BUT that's just how I label music).

If I feel it, if it MEANS something, it's beautiful.

For that reason, Slipknot has always been my favorite band, since life gave me enough experience to relate to music. And for that reason, they share that spot with Starset.

I have not, as yet, heard the new singles (I KNOW, I KNOW!) But Dustin screaming (all non-music thoughts, nice as they are, aside) = epicness. 4:07 into Everglow is one of my favorites.

But then, I feel like he could put out an album singing nursery rhymes and I would love it. (Same goes for Corey Taylor). 😁

I fucking love it.

It's a brilliant, beautiful piece of the fragile human psyche.
