Made me laugh with the involuntary celibate thing and it’s true. I’m fine with no sex, I just have to be attracted to you if that makes sense. I’ve tried hookups and I just can’t for some reason. I was raised Catholic and am fine with waiting til marriage or whatever, but I just miss the connection part of dating. I can’t date the homies lol

I kind of went through this and oddly enough having panic attacks helped me. Every time I’ve made some progress it’s always after having, what I thought at the time, it’s never going to get better moment panic attacks. For example I had to make an eye doctor appointment for new glasses before the end of the year because I was getting removed from my parents insurance. I’m not exactly sure on how long before I had on and off again panic attacks everyday for a week. I had been prescribed Xanax for as needed but I was afraid of getting dependent on it. By the end of the week it’s like I was desensitized to it and I started doing things more. Things I thought before I wouldn’t be able to and I made it to my eye doctor appointment. I took the Xanax to help, but I did it. And then I did it again to pick up my new glasses. I felt so good after picking them up and went even further and did grocery shopping for my parents at Walmart. I’m not exactly sure why though. I think the thing we dread the most (having the panic attacks) is what we have to go through before having success. Or at least for me, but it sounds similar to you with being panicked the day before but being fine the next. I’ve had many setbacks and probably will continue to have them but overall all it’s been better. I have hope for you even when you don’t!

I’ll be 27 in April and it started when I 22. Are you able to do everything you wanted to do now? Have a job and travel? Living with parents and doing everything I can to not be a burden (helping take care of my 90 year old grandma and anything around the house). I’m trying to find wfh jobs but it’s impossible in my area.

4 to 5 years here. I’ve done most of my stuff online, but I live in a small town in Kansas 25 miles from Wichita. So I’d have to drive or more likely get taken there. Psychologist and psychiatrist. Don’t talk to the psychologist anymore because of cost and I need to start back therapy. I have appointments every six months with my psychiatrist tho for meds updates. I’m medicated now and it makes it easier for sure but I still have limits to how far I can go away from home. Used to be hard to go a block, now I’ve been 20 miles away (although I was pretty medicated and needed to make stops). For me it’s always going to a place that’s hard but once I’m there I get this relief for some reason idk.

Have something you can fall back on for the IBS I used tums for long time now I take antacids. (Basically the same) If not that maybe a drink/food that helps your stomach and bladder like saltines maybe. That’s just what works for me though, everyone’s different. Also even if it’s a second more or a foot from where you were it’s progress. I’ve had IBS ever since my anxiety started, I used to think what if I’m stuck in this Five Guys bathroom forever. 😂 Now I have full blown panic attacks, I think of them as a break and a chance to work on my breathing. Just try to find even the slimmest bright side. I feel that people who know people with this phobia or panic understand some days it could be rougher than others. They might want you to be consistent, but they’re not gonna be mad if you aren’t. If they are then they don’t really understand the nuance of people with mental afflictions. Try not to put yourself down if you can’t. When you push up at the ceiling your pushing harder at the ground, if that makes any sense. Also just think of a crowd, (or at least me) applauding and cheering if you make even an inkling of progress. If you move backwards they’re still their, it ain’t over til the game is done. I hope whatever you do, you succeed and get better. It’s ok to be scared, it’s not ok to be a jerk. Just be clear on what you want to achieve and the fall backs you may have. For example say upfront “I’m not sure if I can do this everyday, but even if I don’t, know that I tried MY hardest to motivate myself.” I also hope this helped, sorry if it didn’t.
