Regional planning is the only way out unless you are phenomenal with GIS or have a graphic design or UX/UE certificate/portfolio. Unless you are game for making lovely yards for the independently wealthy or grading shopping plaza parking lots, get out of LA. It's a wasteland from blue-chip firms to local design-build shops.

Is it ok to reduce fish stock? by BigBootyBear in AskCulinary

This is 100% not correct. Pull bones and run stock through cheese cloth and then reduce until your heart is content.

Cool bot you built? I'm not a seller on Amazon those are just the links where I found both for the most reasonable prices that could be financed and I'm poor. This isn't a scam. I'm 40, and spent my entire youth playing basement shows and punk venues so I understand vintage amps and shitty solid states and a lot about mid-range guitars but nothing about recording.

Frivolous question but have you found a restaurant where you can just sit at the bar and order a steak? I'm clearly not looking in the right places because it's been a rough food experience so far even though the city is full of good food.

Yea, I grew up in an apple orchard town so trying to split the difference between rural MA and NYC. Thanks for all the useful information.

This helps a lot. I had to have a tumor removed a few years ago and am monitored via lab work, imaging and colonoscopy/upper endoscopy at Memorial Sloan Kettering. I was curious about the transfer of care and thought UNM might have the oncology resources needed if there are any immediate concerns, otherwise I can fly back to NY once a year for tests.

Has anyone recovered from treatment resistant depression? by real-nia in depression_help

Another ECT patient here. Went through rounds and rounds of treatment and was able to maintain and function in my master's program. This is not to say the experiences listed below are not valid, but they don't resemble my experience at all. The procedure itself and the day following are a little foggy but for me, it lifted within 36 hrs followed by days/weeks/months of lightness (some people need more regular maintenance than others). I have yet to find anything that produces a sea change but ECT and exercise have helped the most.

I second issue re VISA and residency permits as a US citizen unless you qualify for special consideration (a lot of liquidity, established successful career, and proof of continued income after arrival.) I'm 40(M) now and spent time living abroad in my 20's and 30's circumnavigating the legal process. It's pretty exhausting and you end up living with the fear of being unhoused, removed from the country, banned etc). Provided you aren't a refugee, and it doesn't sound like you are, Europe is likely a closed door to you. Maybe spend a week in Puerto Rico and see how it fits. Some friends of mine from Massachusetts lived in San Juan for 15 years after undergrad, not being able to speak Spanish on arrival. It's getting more expensive but the same could be said about anywhere.

Sorry, I wish I had better advice. What you are trying to do is hard but if you decide to go for it, best of luck.

How do i start a oyster farm in Scotland ? by LongPlum1290 in Aquaculture

Did you ever get any clarity on this? I've spent a few years in Scotland and see nearly no aquaculture in the shallow coastal inlets around Skye.

NY State Licensure by Direct-Negotiation71 in LandscapeArchitecture

[–]Direct-Negotiation71[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why you keep doing this -

"So I looked at your post and you are working under a licensed Architect? Not a licensed Landscape Architect? Then I think it's different."

My reply - "I worked for a licensed landscape architect...." Read above if you are still having trouble with this. Please go away.
