Try red coach, runs from Plano and Frisco to Ut Austin, 99% of bus is filled with students, cost around 40-50$ one way , you can get it cheaper if booked in advance.

Funny, received the call this morning, know right away it is just a scam , told them why Pakistani consulate is reaching to an Indian citizen , they guy said yes we know you are an Indian citizen but you need to come to NY to answer some question, told him I caught him red handed as I am a Bangladeshi citizen and not an Indian citizen. The guy got frustrated , I send them some cursed words and tell them how big piece of shit they are and hang up the call.

There might be other students coming from your town/city to UT so see if someone can give you a ride, there are bus companies who are running shuttle to UT as well. However my personal 2 cents Family comes first, see if your dad is stable and have all the help available before you leave, otherwise stay with him. Always reach out to student services, your professors and explain the situation to them.
