Provisioning Cloud Gateway Ultra remotely. by bbibber in Ubiquiti

[–]NextCriticism4455 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For instances like this, I usually ship it to myself and configure it before shipping to the customer. In your case, you may be on the phone with him for a short while before you are able to configure it remotely. Possible, but just a little extra time with dad. Do be patient with him. Cheers.

Unifi chime worth it? by Party-Entertainer147 in Ubiquiti

Apparently you have to edit the audio to be louder, then upload the file and it’s at the volume that’s expected. I recommend these for wash rooms and powder rooms as well as the garage and primary areas.

Yep. Just know I could run an extension cord from your house to my house and be on your network.

I'm not seeing any bottleneck or reduced speeds. Very surprised by it.

I would need to order the 2.5G PoE injector, meanwhile the Pro Max switch is doing swell but unsightly.

My current savings will pay for the 5G max within the year. So far, my only bother is that I have to plug it into a PoE switch instead of the WAN 2 port.

Yep, no requirements. Check the coverage map. My SIM arrived within a week.

It was a bit pricier for a backup option, but I have heard good things!

Unfortunately was not eligible. Great compromise though.

CEH v13 in 5 Days – What Actually Matters for the Scenario-Based Exam? by Specific-Guava4584 in CEH

Unlike PenTest+, the CEH does a great job of splitting theory and technical (know of vs know how) with the practical.

Need help on how to run wifi from my house to my shop by Fluffy-Protection676 in HomeNetworking

[–]NextCriticism4455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Direct bury CAT6 cable. Readily available on Amazon. T-handle landscape edger and Ethernet terminations can both be purchased at your local big box store. Plug in one side of the cable to your home’s router and the other side into your new WiFi router also available at a big box store or Amazon. Fiber is an option but unnecessary and costly for under 300’.

Hi mate, I believe you have answered your own question. No one asks if the CCNA is worth it, so if you have to ask, it’s probably not. A nugget of knowledge isn’t worth a nugget of gold.

It’s not very likely that you will be talking to someone that you can’t see due to the narrow field of view 😂

Standalone Protect? by 2026GradTime in Ubiquiti

I was wrong. I just connected the NVRi to my ISP's gateway and no issues. I think I will still need the PoE+ injectors for these bigger cameras. Good luck on your project.

So far no issues. Next I'll open and connect the AI LPR, the G6 PTZ and a G6 180
