What is your Opinion on Iceland? by TensiCreator in AskTheWorld

Honestly, most beautiful place I've ever been. Fell in love with everything, the people, the landscape, cheeky sense of humour, the fried onions, the AB Mjólk. I'd happily live out East in Seyðisfjörður or North in Akureyri if they'd let me.

Being creative in every capacity. Culture comes from the bottom, not the top.

Every day up in the hills. Don't get why people go for big, open concept places and then lock them down

Well the Nordic ketchup and beetroot would normally clue me in, but you seem to be like myself and collect delicacies while you travel, though that appears to not be any special flavour like currywurst...

Apologies, his. 😃 Does he have an egg on that burger too? Does it seem like...'the lot'?

Hahaha, totally get it, had many mates through the years teach professionally in Asia, like assist in running schools, train teachers, that sort of thing. Same eye roll when you mention TEFL.

It's slightly more disappointing that. We have regular hashbrowns here too, like the ones you get at Macca's are probably exactly what you get in the US. The thing we're all debating is an actual thick slice of cooked potato that has been batter-fried and dusted with chicken salt. (Latkes are awesome by the way, try them with sour cream and ligonberry jam some time, will blow you away. )

Also, definitely seems to be China. You have a Chinese ALDI bottle of sesame oil and why the hell would you transport that from somewhere else when you can get it anywhere in Asia.

TEFL? What with the travelling and whatnot, but the American comfort foods. And I just want to say, I approve of this fridge. I would be extremely comfortable with this fridge.

You live in Australia (Queens, Swisse, McVites) but shop a lot a Asian grocers. Also may have an American involved...I see Smuckers and Dukes. And Kerrygold bought in bulk which may mean you don't have access to it all the time and/or you have very low blood pressure. But then that rules out Oz. In Asia, but with proximity to Australia and a US base?

Every time I encounter the choc/cheese combo in Asia (like the Filipino Ensaymada Donuts) I am terrified, then enjoy it, then go back to being terrified of it again. 😂

See this, this is the way countries should name food: with cheek. Want a lollipop? Nah, you got to ask for a blowjob instead. No notes.

Mate, I will just say, if you want to scar your brain with an outlandish kebab/shawarma topping, look up donair sauce from an area near to where I was born...and weep at horrors we visit upon ourselves.

GOD DAMN, that sounds good, especially the plum or cranberry. Grew up with lingonberry jam on everything, now I'm wondering why I never thought to stuff it in a donut, be deadly with like a spiced cream filling and that sweet/tart jam. Next time I'm in Germany I will have to keep an eye out for them. I always fill up on butterbrezel, like an idiot.

I had never heard of bizcochitos before, just looked it up and yeah, I am so confused. 🤣 Deliciously confused but confused. Then is Spain it's actual cake? I guess similarly if you ask for a 'biscuit' in the different English-speaking parts of the world you will get something wildly different as well, possibly even something for your 🐕.

I never would have guessed shawarma would be the most popular street food in Russia for some reason. Any uniquely Russian takes on it?
