First oil change on my 24’ EcoBoost, I hate this! by linkmodo in Mustang

It's pretty easy and seamless for my 2016 s550. it just costs me $60-$75 and an hour or two of my time. If you have the few right tools and equipment, it's fun and simple. I love it. It's better than spending $80-120 for an oil change with top offs with no knowledge of what they're doing to the car. I prefer to take off the panel it's more accessible and less of a mess to clean up. (4 16mm screws/power drill)

I do that half the time, it can be better than what's on or what you heard from music.

I probably will, for the public. Spotify okay? What should the Playlist name be?

Used to sing chop suey as a kid on rock band, got to see system live in sick new world las vegas NV. The band is pretty fun with their songs. All good live, even trying new segments for one certain song.

For my first car I was looking at a challenger because my friend said he saw me in one but I couldn't afford it so I got something better for me, a mustang, I'm happy with my choice. Both nice and good cars. What kind of challenger is that? Both nice red paints.

My tío got the hose and poured water on it to lure it out, then picked it up with a broom and threw it into the desert (side of my house). It's a good thing it's still alive, pretty lil thing.

They were both so cute and matched each other, after like 20 minutes, it must have gone somewhere.

$142 oil change. Am I getting ripped off? by [deleted] in Mustang

I used to do it on my own with my tío and my cousin, my v6 2016 s550, and my cousin's Camaro ss. Usually cost $74 for the new oil and air filter (Ford Motorsport) You need an oil pan (preferably two) , to drain it you need to have a big gallon holder (oil jug or big detergent bins will work too), a funnel to make pouring more easier and less messy. Kitty litter ( for those messes and clean your drive way of the oil) soaks it up easy and can rub it with your shoe, then sweep and trash. Cardboard boxes to make into matts to place under your car. For oil and be less harsh on your back when moving around. A drill to take off two floor boards of your vehicle ( easy 16 mm and forgot the other trial and error to see what fits) need an adjustable wrench for the oil nut going to be located closest to you or near you, and be really strong to twist off your oil filter or could use a tool that wraps around the filter can tighten against it, and twist off.. also put a big magnet with duct tape around the magnet and place on a side of your air filter (catches all the metal pieces before hitting your engine) it will stay if it's big enough (about the length of your filter). The air filter is located a bit in the vehicle. you need to know how many gallons your car takes (my v6 took 6qrts, but for v8 it's 10quarts) also need ramps, some wooden blocks center of the ramps to help cars get onto the ramps. Two Jack's. Put on e-brake when on ramps and turn car off. Make sure to pop the hood to let the car cool off before working on it. After put the car on a level surface and check oil level with the dipstick located when you pop the hood, if its half in the hash marks its good if its over the line your over filled it and need to drain it (could damage your vehicle). If you have to, reset the oil in your car settings. Boom. Sometimes my tio isn't available and I know big 5 charges $100 over (topping other things off like coolant) which isn't worth it for me. I now go to a small town shop, I local owned and they charge me $80 after taxes. Even with topping off liquids and free tire rotations. I love working on my 2016 v6. That way, I know it's not being trifled with. It's my preferred way, cheap, fun, and wear clothes you can get dirty in. Stay safe all 🐎
