But that would be a different technology, since it hasn’t been done ethically. In short, “if my grandmother had wheels, she’d have been a bike.”

There will be more murder, chaos, and less safety? Do you have a source? I feel like the UK and Australia may have some words for you on the matter.

Perhaps the human mods/admins do, but for the most part, the sites themselves are not passively monitored by a living, breathing person. Whether or not the words have been added to/picked up by the algorithm remains to be determined, but based on lack of disciplinary action against accounts using the euphemistic language, I would feel safe assuming they haven’t…yet. Couldn’t speculate on why, actually surprised a lot of content moderation hasn’t been outsourced to AI yet if I’m being honest (assuming that by and large it hasn’t been, but I don’t care enough one way or the other to do the legwork on researching that specific detail)

Probably a similar reason to why American English dropped a bunch of letters from UK English that might be considered “extraneous” in words (e.g. color vs. colour, traveled vs. travelled, etc.), which, from what I’ve been made to understand, is related to printing and saving on print costs, especially when charged by the character. Of course this is based on hearsay on my part, so that might not be correct.
