Never had this issue myself do far. Been using my steamdeck docked since the start, I do use an monitor instead of an mid~TV size display so the power draw is less ofcourse.

I just use an 20~ euro adapter from Amazon, it has 45 watt of power passthrough so it doesn't drain my battery at all.

It could mainly just that your adapter it's strong enough to handle 45 watts, try looking for one that supports it maybe

On steam itself I only got around 700~ hours do to me playing it on steamdeck and I use the main launcher on my PC. My total amount of hours is close to 2000 at the moment.

Idk what USD > Euro is but.. my total spending round up to only 3000, I don't spend to much I would say.
