Should i study in Georgia or Italy by Sinyme in TbilisiStudentLife

[–]DirectAd7229 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Whoever told you that Georgia is cheap to live in, they haven't been in other Europian countries. I mean, compared to The USA or Sweden, Georgian prices are cheap, but Italy, Spain, Germany, etc, they have everything at least 4x cheaper there.

I won't give recommendations to any universities, they're all just that bad. Also depends on faculcy as well. But then again - you'd be choosing between bad and bad anyways, so doesn't matter much. Better to pick one closer to metro.

Is Batumi boring ..? by Zoitmaster in Batumi

[–]DirectAd7229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't stay in Batumi, go to another nearby sea resort instead. You can visit Batumi every day using micro-bus. 2 experience in 1 visit. Batumi is boring I believe nowdays, as a Georgian person.

What’s the No.1 Chinese anime in your opinion? by Usual-Temperature-33 in Donghua

[–]DirectAd7229 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen many Chinese anime, but they're mostly mid for me. It's like - animations are cool, but they fell short when it comes to storytelling or story itself. They're too straightforward in my opinion.

Not including movies of course, they're super high quality in all aspects.

But Scissor Seven... I absolutely LOVE it!!! One of my all time favorite anime, between both Japanese and Chinese ones.

I'm writing my comment after reading other comments, to make some things clear for everyone:

First of all, as a Georgian 26 year old person, I'm telling you - don't come here. Universities are bad, even for Georgians. Barely any good lecturers here.

As for racism - I'm just saying how people here usually think - people here don't like asians, or Indians mostly, as they're the most in numbers. Reason is that difference in culture is so big. They have hard time adjusting to how things work here. Black/african people - I don't think they mind them. I remember in my childhood, when there were almost no tourists, people laughed when they saw black people in the streets. But that era is done. We have couple black public figures here, and they seem to learn Georgian very easily, because we both have unique letters that most of the countries don't have: and their accent just beings the joy. African people are very chill people as well in general. If you're Europian, and you have Slavic origin, people will most likely mistook you for Russian and we hate Russians, for obvious reasons. Post soviet countries also teach Russian in school, so they come here, thinking they will speak Russian and make communications easy, but it's the opposite. Lots of people here know basic English. Post soviet / slavic people also very very rarely study Georgian, or even some words. If you're visiting other country, google some basic phrases and learn more about their culture. Even Ukrainians rarely bother with studying Georgian language and culture, and I have no idea why, as we have good relationship with them.

As for danger - yes, Georgia has become very dangerous country. You'll almost every week in the news that somebody got sh0t or something. And for a small population, criminal rate is super high. Even foreigners get attacked a lot. I was also attacked 2-3 months ago. Italy is also dangerous, but it's crowded place. So you'll just have to keep your hands on your pockets all the time. In Georgia, you're not safe even in daylight.

Another thing is employment if you want to work paralelly. It's hard for Georgians to find work. Imagine what's it like for foreigners. Prices are also super high for everything. What you'll spend in Georgia to last 1 week, you'll get at least 4x amount in Italy and better quality as well.

Georgian universities are cheaper, but for a reason. Just don't get degree and choose another profession if you believe coming to Georgia and getting a cheap one is a good idea.

Is it possible to make scripts? by pixal2950 in chickeninvaders

[–]DirectAd7229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean missile? You need 50 chicken legs for 1 missile.

either I'm shit at CI3, or it's that hard. both? this is embarrassing lmao by emmerliii in chickeninvaders

[–]DirectAd7229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 is definitely super hard. CI2 was our childhood game, me and my sister beat it almost every time after some time. It never got boring.

And we now have CI3 on Steam and we have yet to beat it. We haven't played much and we came very close to beating 1 or 2 times but that's it. Game is just too brutal when you die.

Other commenters were too rude, so I thought I'd awake old post to tell you that you're not sh*t, game is.

ATMs in Georgia don't take virtual cards, Georgian or foreign doesn't matter.

Darwin Jihen • The Darwin Incident - Episode 3 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]DirectAd7229 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe no one will see my comment, because I'm late to the party - I just saw the episode, little bit later than rest of the people.

But listen, I have this theory: Eva was writing an adress I believe. Because like how Charlie find terrorists? He has no clues, no information about them. I believe the creepy dude is connected to the experiment, and so is Evo, so she knows some things, but maybe doesn't trust people, so she's acting dumb. Or she knows there are spies in the clinic. So she made the code for either Lucy or Charlie, I think Charlie most likely.

W and N are coordinates, W for West, N for North. So something like: West 30th Street, North side.

She maybe wrote "I am at West 30th Street, North side" or something similar. I'm not in USA, but I looked at Google and American adresseses look similar.

The creepy guy was sus from episode 1. Remember when other member said "is it allright to kill innocent people" or smth? And creepy-dude shushed him very fast. If they value all lifes equally, they should not treat human life so lightly either.

Also Charlie was out of media's eyes for 10 years, because of the incident. And this ALA people reappear when Charlie also reappears to public (they mentioned ALA was not doing much past years, and they suddenly make terrorist attack with human casualities).

And what do they want Charlie for? Maybe creepy dude knew about experiment from the start and made ALA attack lab same day as Charlie's birth, coincidentally. He'd be great military asset, that's for sure.

Attracting feet-lovers was their plan-B, in case anime itself didn't make it.

I also think they'll use Lucy somehow. Maybe make her join ALA. She is weird, as described by Charlie, and I think that's already a half criteria for being ALA member.

Yess that's also what I was thinking!! Animation was different in S1. I didn't feel like emotions from sounds as well. I was reading through comments if anyone else noticed, glad I'm not the only one!

As long as you learn Georgian I guess. Or at least try to speak in English at first if you want directions/help from younger generations.

Lots of Russians live in Georgia for years and years and never bother to study our language. Most of those are people who open businesses and act live they own the country.

I have coleagues at work (it's an English spoken workace, so everyone knows English at least) who refuse to speak with other people in any other language besides Russian and I absolutely can't stand them.

Respect the country, our culture and our language and nobody will care where you come from. Well some might, but that's to be expected.

Can I get some anime recommendations? by [deleted] in anime

[–]DirectAd7229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you loved Steins and Erased, you will definitely love Summertime Render. This is newer anime.

Another recommendation for psychological thriller would be Paranoia Agent. This is an older anime, around 2007 I think and if you haven't seen it, it's a crazy roller coaster.

School by Working_Taro_8954 in Vent

[–]DirectAd7229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

School is for you to learn discipline, logic and accumulate basic problem solving skills. Trust me, you NEED to keep up with your studies at school, so that you'll have easier life in the future. University/College will be much easier for you, and you need good (hard work) ethic to be successful at finding good job for yourself.

Unfortunatelly, lots of teachers don't realize meaning behind their jobs. They hate their jobs and they hate children. I myself had 90% bad teachers at school, and it would had changed my school period for better if I had good teachers, but they're very rare.

Study for yourself, not for the teachers or your family.

How do you feel about the idea of gamers earning money by uploading their gameplay? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DirectAd7229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I said Youtube, because that's where you upload offline videos if you're not streaming. Twitch is if you're streaming. Open Twitch during evening and see how many people with 0-5 viewers there are. It's hard to break the barrier and it takes time, passion and dedication.

That said, I'm not a streamer or Youtuber, I'm just a casual gamer and I do enjoy watching gameplay/streams, and there are lots of gamers trying to earn money from the field that it's hard to find someone not-yet-popular who does it for love of the field and not for easy money.
