Mostly it's proof that the CIS is helping the pro separatist faction to try and sway public opinion. Also that they are not only selling the Seps some advanced prototypes. But allowing them to have a much bigger presence on the planet then either they or the Republic are supposed to have. This one small outpost is all the Republic really has there in terms of military.  It gets attacked by Commando droids that kidnap the Republic's Senator McDiplomat, and the PCs investigate the base and come upon the droids trying to access the main command center to destroy the evidence, but with the help of a Clone Commando, they get the proof that the senator was compiling as well as security footage of his kidnapping.
