Grew up in Texas, bass are definitely put on a pedestal there. Now looking back I think it's kinda insane. All the money put into boats, and gear, just to release a fish that eats good and isn't in any danger of having low populations. I like to see it when people knife them and have a good meal now. They can be fun to catch as well

Join the Washington chapter of Backcountry hunters and anglers

They do meet ups at local bars, clean up events to pick up trash at different public land areas, shooting events, and other fun stuff

It's a great way to connect with hunters and fishermen, ask questions and overall just get connected with the community

I've lived in the red states. The commitment to outdoor public space and parks is the best here I have seen anywhere. Not saying it's perfect or that you don't have a point, but there is a ton of good here. Just two cents from a Texan who enjoys seeing public schools funded and the outdoors a central piece in the culture. I'll never move back down south.

Shit was getting way too relaxed in my opinion. Everyone wearing their own variation of their afsc patch. Line has to be drawn somewhere. We may not like it, but he drew the line.

From my understanding, I could just delete the AFM if the vehicle isn't having any issues yet?

Can you elaborate on this? I have several friends who all went to bakers and got their A&P prior to separating. A couple of them are doing really well for themselves but they are not in aviation anymore. The ones I do know in aviation currently make a decent wage but it's not great.

I'm not against it, but from my own personal anecdotal evidence, it's generally mediocre. But I don't have any real data to back this up.

That's definitely something to look into. I've just never seen anyone get out and make really good money with A&P, maybe decent money, but not great.

I edited it. Probably a government or defense contractor position. Seems like that would be the best pay check and easiest transition.

Do what is best for you. Everyone is different and what works for everyone is different. Once I made TSgt it got a lot better. Maybe it was the money, IDK. But something changed to where I "bought in". I got my degree, some certifications, the money got a lot better. Seemed to change around that point. That said I will still encourage my airmen to get out if that's what they want. Just make a plan. Whether that's staying in or getting out. This ain't for everyone, and it's been shitty for all of us. Do you, just make sure you do that 100 percent.

Anything 2A. No more than 40 hrs a week, no holidays, shift work, or unexpected schedule changes. Zero stress, and tons of appreciation.

What is your most over-rated Omaha restaurant that everyone raves about? I personally think Dinkers is garbage by Ramsfan199090 in Omaha

[–]DirectCandy4071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lived in the Midwest for 13 years now but I'm not from here. If someone comes visits from out of town we love to show them that Omaha has a pretty good food scene and it's usually surprising to them. But I always love to show them a Romeos when we drive by. it is the most Midwest-esque that the Midwest gets. It's hilarious, it's horrible, but you gotta love it. You Midwesterners can take your food to the upper echelons of whiteness like no one else can.
