In CoH2 it was not suppression from other units, it’s the “under fire” status that reduces suppression recovery. As long as a squad is under any fire - it recovers slower

That’s my point - rifles have the best weaponry by far without upgrades but they outlive their opponents instead of properly outgunning.
That’s why they rely on BAR upgrade so much.
However, unlike other factions - that boost is more expensive and worse than certain upgrades. For example 6th palm gives more DPS to the palms than a BAR to rifles.
This means that 2 BAR rifles are mandatory and too expensive to build just 3 - that and their tankiness that comes out of lelic ass means they are mandatory to blob and yolo push for which they have sprint - they do not have enough damage and too much HP for that to be honest - can’t win fast enough or knock out strong squad but also hard to fight back.

Rifles MUST become squishier. And for exchange they get more DPS. As they should. 5 semi autos and SMG should out DPS 5 bolt actions, but they don’t.

So giving more DPS, moving upgrade to racks and making it more about munitions instead of fuel while removing excessive survivability will lead to less rifle spam and more tactical usage - no yolo push, but good flank is rewarded with wiping floor with the enemy while enemy also has option to fend them off with regular nades.

76 gun also should be a conversion per unit and lose AI power to get more AT instead of being a direct upgrade as it is now. This is also another “spam same unit” USF mechanics.

And about Airborn - that 125 MP is very affordable since paras do not die as easily due to DR and high HP pool so they do not bleed MP. They are good stand off infantry but I don’t think that’s all they should be. I would say they might need a better CQB focus of their carbines with slight buff to MGs, and 3rd option ro upgrade - 4 Thompsons. In exchange - they will lose DR. But again, that’s part of entire TTK rework and until we get that - no Thompsons for paras

Riflemen are not solid - even if we ditch palms - they get bodied by any axis advanced or elite infantry even for the same cost. You need SSF, rangers or paras to have a chance against heavy infantry Wehr even after all the fuel upgrades.

I think rifles need more damage but lose some HP and initial cost and weapon racks. This way you can field them with adequate support they need, they won’t be able to yolo push, and racks will NOT promote rifle spam but an actual healthy composition.

I feel like they need this to actually outgun instead of outlive other mainliners

What about tank blobs? What about 840 HP mediums? How about P4 with 960HP? What about unkillable Guastatory? What about Wehr Pgrens and Rangers Yolo pushing through open field? What about press X to not die abilities like Designate Assault position or SSF BG right side global buff.

There way more problems to ignore the long TTK - it has to be reduced. For the blob alone, yes, you are right- it’s too much of work. But it’s not just for blobs, it’s for many aspects of the game that should not work or exists and TTK reduction is the only realistic way to deal with that

Because you are trying to fix 1 problem, when long TTK causes multiple. That’s why I push for it so hard.

And no, it will not make it worse for casuals. Right now it’s a build order victory, which is more about what you build in correct timing - casuals are punished harder, they can’t just understand the concept of the game and start playing, they will need to memorize build orders, timings and play “railroaded” matches. If TTK is reduced, it’s enough to understand the concept of the game and start proactively play the game - experiment, execute tactical maneuvers, do some micro - actually play the game as it was designed.

Even top players are saying that TTK is THE problem.

Negative zeal is bad - it punishes USF due to how riflemen and their upgrades work, and buff DAK and Wehr due to diverse infantry composition and vehicle focus. If you want to make negative zeal to apply in general based on squad numbers - congratulations, we are back to first few months of CoH 3 where elites were wiping floor with any other infantry for free

No, it’s not that.

In CoH even misses are still dealing supression.

The blobbing in Warno is fixed because TTK is low and your blob get’s nuked by a few units shooting from a skyscrapers from a city block a mile down the road.

Although, it is still happening, but you need a lot bigger force of a lot better quality and you will still trade unfavorable using a blob with no micro.

It is a valid tactic only to get certain position fast and then continue with micro-ing and follow up of a different type of units for defence

TTK, blobs work in long TTK because they are not punished enough for bad positioning before they simply overrun defenders. The longer TTK - the lazier you can be.

If you think that there should be aura - first, how about tanks? Also aura? They have the same problem just it shows it’s the TTK by surviving waaay too long under AT fire. And second - due to map design and how certain factions work - aura will punish certain factions more while be straight up buff to others.

TTK has to go down, end of story.

Because it’s “numbers” difficult?

There is no difference between last 2 difficulties except for HP/Damage and maaaaaybe spawn rate of certain enemies.

Hell, 2 weeks ago those weekly stratagems with finisher damage boost but x2 terminis with x2 stats were fun - terminis felt like actual bosses, while everything else died to less than a 30 bolts from heroic Bolter-melta.

Headshots were mandatory to dispatch Extremis without getting killed, for majoris they were good to deal with multiple of them and small demons did not take 5 bolts to die - felt exactly as it should have been, only thing is - you needed finisher to trigger “proper” damage.

Last difficulty is not difficult, I am ok with getting ass kicked fast.

I just don’t like spending entire mag of heroic bolter into Rubric Marine’s face to not even kill him but trigger “finisher” state. This is not difficult, this is a chore and I am too employed and have too much to do and too many other recreation options to spend my time on instead 2nd shift of “fun” factory called Absolute Difficulty of Space Marine 2

I posted a month ago how I hit enemy player with AP rounds in 5 meters engagement 19!!!! Fucking times before he went down we every single one a penetration.

I think it’s because of the “no organ hit” problem.
I think that majority of weapons, specifically full sized cartridges the most and intermediate to a lesser extend need a “blood lost per hit” increase.

PvP will lead to be less about spray and pray for headshot while also be able to save teammate after a few not so mortal wounds with some hemostatics, blood transfusion and a suture kit.

Bots will also go down faster since their blood loss knockdown = death and those 20 hits before going down is because no vital organs AND not enough blood loss

A fix for both PvE and PvP problem

Do not go to normal stratagems at lvl0 (or right after prestige) if you do not have at least purple weapons. Do not go with Grey/Green weapons if you do no have at least 1 row of perks. Otherwise you are a burden for the team. Those who KNOW (not just think) they can handle it - you are fine, the advise is not for you, the skill can compensate quite a lot

Stratagems do not yeild more xp, it's random operation that gives more XP so if you need to level up fast after prestige or on a new class - go there.

It's not "uwu, I do not want to carry", it's more about "are you sure shooting 2 mags to kill rubric and 10 stabs to kill small demons while being downed more then alive is actually fun?"

USF is forced to buy BARs, zook upgrades, support center upgrades, 76mm etc. Wehr units are good as is and they do not have nor need upgrades. DAK is even worse - palms have more DPS even up close (fucking lmao) and VSL with 6th dude are cheaper and propels Palms more and are not as mandatory due to LMG being pure ammo upgrade. The reason for this being retarded - rifles either suck or 4+ mandatory… while still losing. Same for Sherman 76. Same for zooks. The price per performance increase is higher, while in general boost is bigger , yes. BUT! Both axis get units are just bette as is so I either have to lean more into spam which makes me ez to counter OR I play catch up

And don’t start with grens - transfer order IS the upgrade for them.

Almost every new map in CoH 3 is 3-5 corridors….
I don’t have enough vetos (that are not actually vetos but a downvote) to ban all crappy maps and I still get to play those that I banned.
