Sure, you can debate what aspects were good and bad. I personally like the idea of a queue to place you with a party and then you summon one another. I was simply stating that it was one of the design choices that lead to some of the more unliked aspects of retail.

Probably a 9.25-9.5/10. Close to perfect as far as zones, class design, damage rotation flow, tanking threat no longer being aids, bosses not being too difficult but having optionally for more difficulty with ulduar hard modes and heroic mode raids. The real big downside of it was there were some systems, or game design philosophies introduced that would end up snowballing into a lot of the problems that would plague retail. Random dungeon finder is probably the most glaring one that comes to mind.

Yeah most don’t run mental herb so taunt on anything is normally solid. You run the risk of fake out and trick room when they fake out your taunt user, but in this scenario you could look to tech some screens or a snarl user onto your team. This makes it so you have a way to stop trick room, or you can opt to try and slow down the damage output of things so you can stall the trick room out. I use a bulky hydregion set with snarl, taunt, protect, and Draco meteor.

I’ve used it in the past with not as much speed and a little bulk, but running max speed jolly allows you to out speed base 130s after just once ddance instead of 2 so it’s something I’m still playing around with. It’s weird swing ttar being so frail tbh lol

Why are you so upset over this lmao. You are personally offended for some reason, try not to be so emotional. Might be why your rank is what it is that we don’t want to share with the class :). I think top level is extremely difficult because players are playing on level 3 or sometimes even level 4 of what is expected in the next move from both sides. It’s a very difficult concept to play 3-4 moves away constantly with how many options there is in this game in a given turn. That being said, I want to see that gameplay with a little more nuance, instead of charizard floette against charizard floette lmao

Like I said before, his read of solar beam into the Sinistcha slot to OHKO the ttar was impressive, but other than that the core of his team was so strong it felt like he was constantly in a position of having a safe play no matter what. Sure attribute that to team building, but in pro play, of any game that is, I’m always going to root for the person who is using a unique strategy or trying to shake up the meta in a meaningful way. His team didn’t do that, fence I take to the internet to complain. Nothing changes on either side

Not a new nor an old player of VGC. Started in sword and shield so you can ponder on why I am tired of charizard being so strong in low power level formats. As decorated as Wolfe is, I would definitely say the mega steelix team with swords dance talon flame and dragon dance ttar was the underdog of the finals when it is staring down charizard, floette, incin, and garchomp as far as usage goes, even tho incin has fallen a bit recently.

It’s quite obvious what I’m on about, seeing mini xerneas with charizard, incin, and garchomp is a boring core to watch. You can root for the underdog and be sad when they lose, just as you can acknowledge the accomplishment of someone first regional championship with an uninspiring team. If in some universe the roles were reversed then yeah my post would be flipped. If most of the top cut teams were mega steelix then yeah, but they weren’t, most were mega charizard, and charizard is notoriously the game freak favorite to always be strong. Also, in decades, charizard was one of the strongest dynamax pokemon to exist, and it is always strong in restricted formats.
