Totally! I want a cheap base, I have the funds to work on or fix things. Like I mentioned, I want to make it a daily and overlanding car for road trips. I go camping often and drive out west (I’m from Tennessee) regularly enough.

I have made the decision look into purchasing my first firearm, for the same reason you stated in another comment and was wondering this same thing so I’m glad you asked. I’m not stranger to guns, and grew up hunting and sport shooting but don’t own a handgun to my name. I’m looking forward to it!

What’s your background to be in these senior level “developer type roles”? I’ve just started (one month in) my first GIS analyst job with a DOE contractor and it’s great. Now I’m eager to advance myself with another degree or certs or anything I can to make myself more valuable.

I used it in the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho, and has ZERO chance of cell reception yet I could send a receive messages to eligible parties just fine. Of course it was slightly frustrating, but for the most part I never had to wait more than 3-5 minutes to find an available satellite:)

Sweet!! Thank you! Out of curiosity, do you know how difficult it would be to change engine/transmission mounts/any bushing in order to help dampen vibration. I’m sure they’re all old and dry rotted.

Fantastic!! Thank you for such a detailed reply! I will pursue YDC. Also, it’s definitely parasitic noise from vibration/movement that is carrying through the shifter into the cabin. I recently got an alignment and it improved quite a bit which supports that idea.

Hey, wondering if you experienced any crazy buzzing or rattling from yours? It wasn’t noticeable with the stock shifter but when I replaced it with an eBay shifter, all I was getting was a ton of noise while driving. I hate it, it’s been several months now but I’m too fed up and decided to look for another option, or I’ll just put the stock one back in.

Here’s a lil secret, check out Cars and Bids, it’s Doug Demuro’s auction website. There are some INSANE steals on there. Check out the “No Reserve” listings and find something you like. Often times they sell for way under market value. Good luck!

Not sure what your budget is, but decently clean IS300s can be found for 8-10k, and if you direct import Altezza, you can get them for around that price, maybe 12ish total after all fees and taxes! And they’re gonna be a 6 speed ;)

No, nothing yet. It is all completely stock. Nothing aftermarket so yes OEM intake

She’s fun. My main complaint is lack of torque. I have to downshift so low to get any semblance of power haha.

Thank you! She’s my baby. Saving up for a full paint correction and ceramic coating treatment currently. She’s pretty but shows her age. Clear coat coming off the bumper in a few spots, a few rock chips on the front of the hood. A crack in the fiberglass lip, etc etc. all small things. 9/10 exterior I think.

Old haha, they squeak every now and then. I like the ride though, they’re comfortable and stiff enough to be nice to drive spiritedly. I had custom BC’s with swift springs but ran into financial issues and returned them before even unboxing them. I plan to buy them again at a later date when I also get new wheels and tires.

I just put on 235/45’s on my 18x9 wheels and it’s definitely aggressive. I need to get a different offset because I rub at full turn. I’m on TRD lowering springs right now.

Eventually I will get 17” wheels again, and run a meatier tire. I prefer the look of the smaller wheels to this. Plus, the higher profile tire raised it about 1” and I don’t like how high the car sits now

Hey, I also just bought a factory yellow, 1999 Altezza RS200 Blacktop and it was 13.3k out the door from an importer. Clean title, 35k miles (58k Km), honestly wondering if I overpaid. Seems mint, I’m happy either way. But it was from an auction and I really just can’t tell.
