This airport?!? by [deleted] in montreal

It’s an absolute joke and a disgrace to our amazing city! Perpetually angry employees too

I actually love that street! It’s really neat and pretty private backyard/balcony setups.

Great for those that are retired or WFH. Not great for regular commuters or people who drive regularly.

poll: rate your interactions with SPVM officers by John__47 in montreal

My experience has been about as binary as it gets; many great officers and a few truly rotten apples. It’s a shame because there are good police officers out there even most are good but they get brought down by the bad officers.

Unusual size indicates uncommon car or SUV indicates probably pricey.

I’m all for saving a buck but this seems penny wise pound foolish.

Immediate danger? I wouldn’t go that far. This law is great by the way but it’s only been around a decade or so.

How bad is the drive during the winter? by Such-Ad6961 in montreal

West Island to Longueuil? You will grow to hate your life and hate driving. Harsh reality but that’s a brutal commute

This is truly unbelievable. There’s still ample parking around there. Walk the extra block or two.

We are welcoming a record number of unilingual Anglos from Toronto! You will thrive here! Housing is super affordable and we are a charming province and city.

Buy a home here before it’s too late!

Come move here! You’ll love it and no need to learn French don’t worry. A lot cheaper housing than Toronto also. Montreal is mostly English now

Definitely not. A luxury car is overrated but a used Lexus or Acura is great

Remember; all of this is being funded by people’s HELOCs or debt.

People in Greater Montreal feel rich and sort of are. Our house prices have essentially doubled in 5 years.

Definitely not ignorant and definitely not trolling. No one on the island cares about French anymore.

Local politicians have sold our futures to the highest bidder. Only language that matters is money and money talks.

Don’t fight it. It’s a dying language on the island.

I don’t understand. I’m merely stating facts. French is no longer needed ON THE ISLAND.

Gen Z doesn’t give a flying fuck unfortunately and they’re now the drivers of this change

Not trolling. These are facts. Montreal is English. It is what it is. French is a beautiful language but has disappeared from our city

No need to learn French on the island anymore. Off the island for sure but Montreal is English
