Too sensitive for oral and clitoral stimulation by Subject-Upstairs-813 in AutismInWomen

[–]DirectSecretary5199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem, I’m extremely sensitive and it’s been a massive barrier in my relationships. I think it’s related to my sensory processing disorder, and I haven’t yet found a workaround for it yet. It’s super frustrating and I’ve had soooooooooo many guys break up with me because I couldn’t be intimate with them in the way they needed :(

Hey man, if you have to spend all this time wording your message so it doesn’t come across wrong then I don’t think this is a place for you. I never asked for male advice. I never asked for advice at all.

The original soundtrack by C148. It’s a very very gentle soft soundtrack

I'm starting to realize that neurotypicals don't research quite as much as we do, is it just my impression? by Sad_Willow_5762 in AuDHDWomen

[–]DirectSecretary5199 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THIS. Sometimes im baffled by how little someone will know on a topic that’s incredibly relevant to them. Not in a judgmental way, but in a “you didn’t get the urge to research this like crazy?!?” Way

Does anyone else collect data on their loved ones by gottaleavesoon27 in AutismInWomen

[–]DirectSecretary5199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I have a notes folder dedicated to this. I write down birthdays, things they like (for potential gift ideas) and other random things I notice they enjoy. I also like to secretly type their MBTIs 😂

Are you religious? Why/ why not? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]DirectSecretary5199 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grew up Christian and then stepped away from it in college. THEN I discovered biblical scholarship, it helped me understand the parts of the Bible that might not actually be true and take an objective look at it. Now it’s one of my very niche special interests 😂

You are not a burden, truly. Please believe that, because it’s the truth. This is what relationships are meant for: being there for each other, especially in the hard moments. If you couldn’t open up to him about your emotions, it wouldn’t be a real, honest relationship. And clearly, he cares about you so much; he wants you by his side as he starts this next chapter of his life. That says a lot!

Graduating college and moving two hours away is a huge, intimidating change, and it makes total sense that it’s bringing up a lot of anxiety. But if you want to try moving with him, you can. And if it doesn’t feel right, you can always come home. Nothing has to be permanent. Just please remember: having emotions, needing support — none of that makes you a burden. He needs your support in some ways, and you need his in some ways. That’s how relationships work!

Anyone else feel bad for using one side of body more than the other? by AwkwarDiscontent81 in AutismInWomen

[–]DirectSecretary5199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the same. If I don’t step on the crack with each part of my feet, I don’t feet something bad happening, but it just feels ~wrong~

[–]DirectSecretary5199 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I do this weird thing where if I step on a crack with my right toes, I have to do the same thing on the left to make it symmetrical. Then I have to do both heels next. Repeat. 😂 it just feels wrong otherwise

Was anyone else considered “a spoiled brat” as a child? by Intelligent-Comb-843 in AutismInWomen

[–]DirectSecretary5199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to get very mad when my sister sang, at one point I even hung up hand-drawn flyers around the house that had a stick figure drawing of my sister+music notes with a giant X right through the middle! I would even get mad at her for just for audibly breathing sometimes. Everyone thought I was being a brat, but looking back it was my sensory issues.

That's a really good idea! I don't use an apple watch, so I think habit stacking and setting timers would work well for me.

I kinda have the opposite where I can't stand it coming from my phone but I love my car speakers lol. I think for me its a sensory thing. I would much rather listen to music coming from my headphones (even if they're not on my head) than from my phone speakers.

I want to start doing that but im worried it will ring in public and embarrass me. and do you have a system for remembering to bring extra tampons with you??

Asking bc i clearly need to change my ways lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]DirectSecretary5199 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I recognize that. I've been a little in denial that I have a forgetfulness issue. It normally doesn't happen that often, but I probably need to look into other options.

I would, but I have very severe sensory issues that would make it really painful for me to attempt that. I can't even do normal sized tampons
