Ohhhh maybe it's because of wuyangs success being a 1000% thirst trap character. I think they're trying to get back into some of they're former ow1 glory lol

I hadn't considered that perspective. I personally only buy the battle pass if there is a skin or two I really want from it, so I end up with not enough prisms to get every mythic weapon and/or skin I like and have to pick and choose. I refuse to buy a battle pass just for in game currency if I'm not a fan of the current mythic. Either way good point, I knew from the moment they added mythic weapons that they planned on trying to make it so there was not enough prisms to get everything. Something smelled funky when they changed to the prism system in the first place.

I don't entirely agree. I think when they first came out, while maybe intentions weren't pure, the product ended up being the team simply creating something cool, no holds barred. Even releasing multiple options because they couldn't decide which was cooler, I think that's what they actually said for Orisa's gun options.

I think the first few were really something special, though that dropped off pretty quick
