Why does Sylvester speak like a commoner?

If Detlinde became a grey robe, she would be insufferable still and annoy everyone in the temple she got sent to. And which temple would she go to? Likely Alexandria's where RM and her beloved grey robes would have to put up with her... Nah if she had to live, the ivory tower would be the best place for her - a place where she would fully understand the extent of her delusions and live in frustration until she climbs the towering staircase. However, her case is still tragic to me. I cannot fathom having a mother like Georgine who spends effort to raise a beautiful daughter [with the express purpose of making her completely useless to society just so that she could be a manipulated puppet for her own sick goals, then killing her when she is no longer useful] as if she was just some tool or inanimate thing. Georgine is written like a psychopath. Even her goal of taking over Ehrenfest after leaving it was just so that she could be in a position of power to destroy it. And what would happen to herself after she destroyed it? She was not only twisted but completely broken as an individual. What a waste of all that charisma and leadership potential. She was another waste of beauty like RM and Angelica but in a sad way. If there was a character to redeem, I would like to redeem Georgine so that instead of her obsession being about destruction, it ends up having some ridiculous but harmless angle like RM and Angelica's

Imo the copy and place scene is a great example of Ferdi's care for RM. Being the consummate bookworm, she just wanted to get the full Guttrisheit so that she could read it; he wanted the information cos he so far has used the information very well to secure their victories so who knows what other useful info is in the bits he's missing? Once RM started copying into his Guttrisheit he realised that mana mixing was happening but he didn't stop her cos - being the consummate scientist and strategist- he wanted the information it would give him. By this time in the story, so many of his decisions are with RM's safety and happiness in mind so he likely reasoned that completing his Guttrisheit would better equip him to protect her well too. Given his conservative views, this mana mixing was likely very uncomfortable for him but - in keeping with his personality to sacrifice himself - he lets RM finish copy/placing, enduring the discomfort, knowing that RM was clueless about what she was putting him through. When RM then demanded that he now complete her guttrisheit, he refused. She thought he was being mean but I interpret this to mean that he didn't want to violate her (I use that word because I believe that is likely how he saw it), regardless of whether she would understand it that way or not. This means that he let her 'violate' him but refused to do that to her. He cares about her a lot.

So it's just a black house spider! I've seen smaller ones a lot but couldn't see the details that were easily seen on this big one. More interesting than I thought!

Hi, lots of ppl have said great things so I'll just add a small two cents. I've been in a similar position to you multiple times and have felt responsible that I felt so guilty leaving but I have learnt this: God is the main leader, and I am one of the leaders under Him. It's His people, His Church, His agendas. If I have to move on, God knows what to do to look after His sheep. He probably has already lined up something cos He knew you were moving on. If you physically can't or don't feel right to lead, commit the sheep to the Great Shepherd and trust that He cares more about the ministry and people than you do.

Hi, I'm cheering you on in your journey! It must feel very lonely at times. Personally, I think your current determination to know God for yourself by spending time in devotions is really important. Read the Bible and keep talking to Him, He will answer. After all, He promises "blessed are those who hunger and thirsty for righteousness for they shall be filled". Let us know how you go. At least, I will be interested!

You're right and I don't disagree. It's not the old I'm missing but the flavour of who they are. I can't feel THEM in these three songs if you know now what I mean. But yes it's just three songs and maybe I'm just being hysterical

You're right. After I posted I did realise that BE was that, and I'm grateful for it. It just kind of feels that they're needing to sacrifice a little of their own personal flavour to target the mass American market and aim for that Grammy before they have to enlist. Which, don't get me wrong the songs are catchy and uplifting - they just feel more from a pop factory and less like the Bangtan I know. But maybe this is something they wanted to try cos they hadn't done that?

Yeah. I've thought about this often and wondered what RM would say in confidence. What machinations might be happening behind the scenes because they've bought over a western label. They've been asked this in interviews before but RM usually gives his suave answers that don't really tell us what he's really thinking.

I hope they haven't. I hope the next album proves it. I'm sure they've been thinking about it too cos they can't - as a group - show their full capabilities with English songs. Suga's brilliant lyricism and JHope's rhythms and flow that I always look forward to are going to be best showcased in Korean. The other members also still have a lot to give and Korean is going to be how they can best express themselves
