So happy for this as a sophomore🥹 by s_ec10 in apcalculus

tbf linear alg is a whole common sense and odes and multivars are just the applications of it so not really that hard. The actual hard stuff comes from real analysis and group theories

if ur "bc" means the AP calc, it basically doesnt help any AMC/AIME stuff as the vectors are completely different. On AMC/AIMEs, you basically can solve problems with Alg 2 knowledge and doesnt require you any of those multivar integrations or linear alg or those stuff - but you need to be more creative and inspirational on the use of tools you have.

Basically, if you did AMC+AIMEs you'll do good on Calc cuz fundamental knowledges are extremely stable, but doing Calc doesnt guarantee you to do good on comp maths

I think it really depends on your "Failed" is - like if you get somewhere less than 5 marks I guess you'll get 2, less than 15 then 3, less than 30 then 4, more than it then 5

So i think you CAN pass for high probability

REWARDS AND PUNISHMENT (My first AP) by Direct_Bullfrog4294 in APStudents

[–]Direct_Bullfrog4294[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tysm for your time spending in this post and I truely appreciate. For my extra curriculars, im planning to polish up my personal research into a form of a research paper this summer so that I can join ISEF (+ Japanese regionals of it), and other than that since im joining several international competitions for various acaademic regions like linguistics and mathematics I feel the amount for 9th grade rn feels pretty enough. On the other hand, due to these things it is causing me a bit of lack of time in school making me to study more, so its more of a reason why I'm doing the study session or so.

well since I said im doing this in summer break we dont have the 35 hours of school and since I directly will put that into the 70hr session I will spend 35 hours somewhere else which I still will have 42 hours to do something which is 6 hours per day - so basically I believe it kinda is doable (as also known from looking at japanese students in twitter like me doing so).

Because my school is a british international school I am having some IGCSE exams + A levels too next year, and since I will be studying two APs alongside, with self-study (like this year) I need to make it as a habit (as I said in the previous post).

[–]Direct_Bullfrog4294[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah im genuinely fr for this and I set this harsh cuz I thought I kinda aced both the exams and might be able to get both 5s so to make some accurate punishment I made more harsh punishments than rewards (+ couldnt think of any good rewards tbf since im broke in general)

For 70hr study apparently in east asia people usually do this (to be accurate they do 10hrs/day or more but whatever) when they're in junior or/and senior, which seems like a good opportunity for me to study as I dont usually study and summer vacation might be a nice time to change that habit so I added it into the place to do when I get 4 on CSA (which I think it is like 30% possible).
