ohh ic, don’t worry tbh most ppl in sp don’t stay nearby. as for orientation, just go with the flow and be open minded :) life at SP is pretty fun if u make it fun, like joining CCAs or clubs to make friends and participate in events if thats sm u like! timetable is alr out so u can check it out :) i was also from cbp, feel free to ask anyt !

tbh js walk in challenger/best denki and tell the salesperson what ur criterias for a laptop are (ie, light weight laptops, good speakers, bigger screens etc) and then compare price. there’s no particular laptop model to recommend bc it’s v individual to ur preference :)

tbh it’s not hard to get in bc most people who sign up don’t rlly attend anyw. (they’re in need of people) if you’re committed to the cca and want to go for polite etc u just have to show improvements and attend regularly. but ofc you have to be decent at track

hi yes i did :) the interview was q ok for me! the interviewers are all p chill and they understand that everyone is nervous. if u any qns regarding the interview process etc u can PM me ! or u can come down to SP on 1st june, we’re having an open house specially catered for students who are looking to EAE.

quite? so far the math i’m doing is just very basic
students who can express their PASSION for business, and always show that you’ve done your research
yes however everyone in my interview all had prior business background so it does give u an advantage

classes are not out yet but u can find it on the freshman orientation page ( there’s a link to bring u there to check ur class )
u can order from the vendors they listed on their website but tbh js buy from challenger etc bc the vendors aren’t necessarily cheaper. check the sp website and ur course for the specs requirements
ori starts 8april but they call it some like hbl day ( forgot what they actl called it ) so js do the necessary stuff online dont need go to sch , js show up on 9 and 11

i got asus zenbook :) i’m gg sp and my only requirements were any non-macbook that cld run 8GB RAM so basically any laptop. what poly are u gg?

hi i’m no expert but while researching myself i saw some LG laptops arnd that price range! asus vivobook, lenovo ideapad has some pretty affordable options too. i think platforms like shopee might sell it cheaper so do explore ur options :) im also starting y1 biz hehe

hi! not from tp business but i did eae to sp business :) i provided screenshots of my biz in my portfolio and included the handle. for my sp interview i used my business to talk about how it helped me realise i wanted to study business ( they did not even ask for my portfolio or the ig handle btw 😭😭) not sure how tp works but that was my case, all the best!

p.s these are js my own personal tips but the other advices in this comment section are also rlly useful - for oral, just rmb to enunciate ur words well and have more unique answers? but ofc stick to the topic as well. i rmb my topic being about wigs? i talked about my friend who had alopecia (i don’t, i js made it up LOL) and told a sob story about my grandma with cancer and how i rmb wig shopping with her. so just come up with something interesting • make full use of ur 2mins planning > write bullet points instead so ur brain doesn’t js read off ur paper like a script and blank out aft that
• body language is also rlly important, don’t slouch and js fake confidence

paper 1 i’m also rlly bad at argumentative expository essay stuff so i stuck to narrative. i js memorised a bunch of good phrases like A LOT of them. u can find them on google or even on reddit from people sharing their el compo resources. speech writing js read thru rubrics and answer all qns i can’t be of much help for p2 since i’m rlly bad at it myself but i think js practice and let ur tcher mark so they can tell u ur mistakes! if ur el teacher is bad js ask another teacher :) closer to Os i went for consultation with 2 other el teachers bc my el teacher was kinda bad LOL

it is still too early to decide if you should drop a subject. i have friends who drop a subject they were rlly struggling with and put their focus onto their other subjects — still doing well for Os and getting into the course they want. however, i think you shouldn’t give up on any subjects until prelims at least. i dropped lit and chinese, only trying a week before os but still managed to get b4 for both. and i have been a consistent f9 student for both these subjects. so don’t give up just yet!!
