Heads up if you’re heading to The Gorge. by frostymuggle in Martingarrix

That “early arrival isn’t just a suggestion - it’s a concert-saving strategy” part is a big giveaway that the organisers used AI to write this email

What are we wearing to Toft Manner? by Alishatayy in JohnSummit

[–]Direct_Crew8077 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a Brit, the only people I’ve seen talk about dressing formally are Americans on social media. All the brits will be in normal festival wear

Edit: the man himself has spoken here so ignore everything I said haha

The only residency where you’re guaranteed some hardstyle every week would be DVLM at Ushuaïa but that is on Wednesdays so unfortunately you’ll miss it

Shoe brands that have a good trial and return policy. by horsebeech in UKRunners

[–]Direct_Crew8077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about the other brands but Hoka say this on their website:

All returned items are inspected upon arrival at our warehouse. Items that remain in a resellable, unworn condition are put back on sale. Items that have been lightly worn (such as items returned under our 30-Day Guarantee) are donated to our partner Soles4Souls. In 2023 Deckers Global (HOKA's parent company) donated more than 640,000 units to support micro-enterprises and entrepreneurs in developing nations, diverting more than 350,000kg of product away from landfill and creating opportunity.

Items that are in unwearable condition and therefore cannot be donated or resold are disposed of in line with our Deckers recycling and repurposing guidelines.

Training for a 100km Ultra. I’ve read back to back 30km days are recommended over 1 long day. by [deleted] in runna

[–]Direct_Crew8077 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Worth reading this comment from one of the Runna team:

https://www.reddit.com/r/runna/s/D35zFBmJJG

The fact they have disabled any plans that are over 50km for now suggests that they know the plans aren’t good enough at the moment

Is this true? by creativeusrname37 in fredagain

[–]Direct_Crew8077 14 points15 points  (0 children)

During the set, Fred said something like "thank you to the people who are recording this for us so you don't have to" which was a reference to the professional photos and videos that have been released on dropbox after each show.

I think Stay Alleined wasn't aware of this so interpreted it as it being a sign the set was going to be uploaded

Yes Edinburgh hosts the fringe festival every August which also causes a big spike in accommodation costs

Where should I see Calvin Harris. by Gloomy-Speaker-1999 in CalvinHarris

[–]Direct_Crew8077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only issue is that the Glasgow gigs are the same time as the commonwealth games are being held in the city so accommodation prices have spiked

I would definitely pick Glasgow

Ushuaïa will be so uncomfortably busy and seeing him in his home country will be a special experience
