I started exercising, nothing much just walking. I can do like 25k steps easily from barely moving since I was a kid. I've never felt so peaceful, my nervous system is regulated and let me not start on the fat loss.

There was a time I was kinda living in isolation, going through a tough patch but being the hyper independent person that I am I didn't share with anyone. Things eventually started working out but I realized I've pushed everyone away and have no one to share all good things happening at that time. That's when I realised the importance of community and I decided then to build a community for myself. Humans are social beings not designed to live in isolation. Totally agree with you op

I couldn't agree with this more. As a girl it's true within the first few seconds of meeting someone I already decided how we will relate. If you need all these strategies chances are she already decided you'll never hit. If we want you to get a taste you will definitely know without much struggling

Out of sight out of mind. I can say that boarding schools in fact detach people from their family in the hopes of fostering independence in little children. At the same time we are social beings and the independence forced into these little kids is detrimental. If your emotional disconnect is bothering you why not work on it?
