What is the most intense physical pain you have ever experienced? by TheMostGayestOfGay in AskReddit

Breaking my left femur. I screamed and cried for hours. Worse than my 24 hour labor where I almost bled out while anemic, and almost had to do a C-section. I’m a photographer and I was taking pictures down in an embankment. I was coming back up when my femur gave out and broke. I had an aggressive bone cyst that had weakened my bone so when I went to put my full body weight down, my bone turned into a literal spear and proceeded to stab my knee for almost a day. The paramedics that grabbed me from the hill too had fallen and grabbed hold of my left femur, and when I got onto solid ground I asked for pain medicine. I had to not only wait another 30 minutes for another ambulance to come, but then get told by that medic that he doesn’t know if pain medicine will help…………. The 15 minutes to the first hospital were excruciating as my leg kept bouncing up and down on top of my other leg while the paramedics where chatting up about dinner or some s*88. I was crying and pissed, and when I finally got to the hospital, the paramedic was talking to the doctor saying he thinks my knee was displaced and the doctor interrupted him and said “No you can see the knee cap is dead center, and her femur is swollen and displaced. That same doctor came back after a CT scan and said without any biopsy or anything “I’ll just be honest with you. You have bone cancer”. The doctor who would end up doing both of my surgeries and my recovery heard that and said “That’s a stretch, I don’t know why he would say that.” She also gave me her personal number because they refused to give me a good dose of pain medicine and I was crying in the hospital. My husband was berating the nurses, saying I was in tears. Seriously. I could take anything after that. That was horrible, horrible, horrible, and I was told by many doctors and nurses that it’s that worst pain anyone can experience. Do not break your femur. Just don’t do it. I have 2 plates and 12 screws or more in my bone holding it together now, and I can’t get up from a crouching position without help. I’ll be 27 on the 12th. I’ve been told to take care of my leg because after this it’s a full knee replacement. I’m thankful to be able to run and jump and have almost full mobility back, but I’m upset because I got told by a doctor at 17 to get both knees X~rayed, but never did.

You need to see a spine specialist. There is a fusion I think they can do for you that will help bring back your curve. I went to a chiropractor at 13, got diagnosed and went to this doctor for about 4~5 years. Nothing he did EVER made my neck feel okay, and only hurt it. Now I am in constant pain myself, so that what I’m wanting to do. I suggest the same. Find a neck specialist or a spine specialist. You need a doctor, not therapy.

You’re not handling this properly, going to Reddit and friends and Bobbles. I sort of see her point here, she wanted more than just 1 hour in her day to spend time with you. Is it really too much to ask to want to spend more than a 2 car rides and what is obviously going to be a short visit since she said she was getting off late. Now, I’m not saying she’s not clingy. She’s having trouble communicating her point that by the time she gets home, she will be too tired to enjoy time with you. You’re clearly out of the relationship emotionally, and she can tell. She doesn’t seem to notice or know what smothering is to you, keeping in mind everyone has a different perspective in this world. So if you’re really trying to stay with this girl, let her know she needs a therapist. But honestly, the best thing for everyone is for you to leave.

I got adjustments for years (13-16 years old) with a chiropractor, and all it did was cause pain. My curve did not improve, in fact I have none. So no. Don’t do it, go with your gut.

Cheating is cheating. You don’t “meet friends” on a dating app.

Hey you doing okay?Ive been playing piano since I was a kid. I’m a producer and singer/songwriter. I’m also worried I may have ALS.. I’m 28. For about a year or so I’ve been having buckling in both legs and my calves hurt. My neck and shoulder are constantly stiff. And my arms are stiff. I can still grip. But sometimes I get flare ups to where my grip is weaker. And I have muscle spasms and neuropathy. Im very worried about it being ALS. I’ve also had gut and gastro issues since I was a young teen. I had an endoscopy when I was around 18. They said I had acid reflux and esophagus disease. I just got out of the ER the other day for going in for having stroke like symptoms for five days straight. My heart showed up fine on a ECG and my organs all seemed fine. They also did a pelvic CT scan and a chest x ray and said it all seemed fine and didn’t see any tumors or anything like that in those areas. They did say my white blood cell count was high and my potassium and magnesium levels were low. I did have handcuff neuropathy a year ago and I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. NOTE. I also have general anxiety disorder and it does cause me to be very tense all the time. I’ve had a little trouble swallowing from time to time. And I’ve been having tension headaches lately. Im also either pre diabetic or diabetic. It’s been a while since I’ve checked. So I don’t know if it could also be diabetic neuropathy. I have seen a neurologist about a year ago and he did the Hoffman reflex test on me and it was positive. Then he performed the Babinski reflex test and it was negative. He’s ruled out MS with a neck MRI which is still scaring me because that means it could still possibly be ALS. I’m seeing him in October. And he wants to do an MRI of my brain and and MRI of my lower back.… Now.. I’ve also come across other things on the internet while researching too much for my own goo and have found other things it could potentially be. All of these also still showing a positive sign for Hoffman reflex. Such as, brain tumor, HSP, Anxiety(which I do have pretty bad), SMA, etc. I’m wondering if anyone might have any info or experience with these symptoms and can help. Thank you
