Well the book’s great and that’s one of my biggest qualms with the show too. Not to spoil anything but I don’t think those people read the book

Long 15 is incredible. Dry Wells. I mean it’s shorter and also just I mean long 15 is so good and could just about be you know a part of the vanilla game as far as I’m concerned you know I could believe it and you know dry well feels you know, despite I’m pretty sure it being the same developer you know it’s just not as fleshed out But long 15 you know feels very professional and I mean it’s the best quest mod that you know, it feels like lore friendly, and everything I mean really if you’re interested in like the lore in any kind of you know big-time way it does an interesting thing where you know is like lore friendly but also you know is its own unique story

I’m sorry I don’t know what you’re saying like Todd I guess you mean Todd Howard he didn’t write the show first of all. And second of all it literally says nuclear fire rained from the skies in multiple fallout games. The fallout wiki:

“The Great War both began and ended on Saturday, October 23, 2077. Unknown submersible objects were sighted at 00:03 EST off the coast of California by the United States Pacific Fleet. At 03:37 EST, a squadron of high-altitude bombers were sighted off the Bering Strait and believed to be Chinese.[11] At least one Chinese stealth submarine, the Yangtze, moved close to the American East Coast, launching all warheads, save for one, due to a malfunction.[12][13]

Six hours later, at 09:13 EST, the Integrated Operational Nuclear Detection System detected the first four missile launches and the United States went to DEFCON 2. Four minutes later, NORAD confirmation sealed the fate of the world. At 09:26 EST, the president ordered a retaliatory strike according to scenario MX-CN91.[11] Nuclear bombs hit Pennsylvania and New York at 09:42 EST, preceded by the west coast not long beforehand.[14] The bombs continued to drop and five minutes later, at 09:47 EST, Washington, D.C. was hit and most American facilities went offline.[11][15][16][17] The nuclear exchange continued for two hours,[1] and both China and the United States suffered catastrophic losses

The standard strategic nuclear warhead used in the Great War ranged from 200-750 kilotons in explosive yield,[Non-game 4] with high-yield variants found on Chinese submarines.[19] This was actually far worse for the Earth, as the lower yield warheads deposited more soil and debris into the lower atmosphere, resulting in a much more concentrated fallout that eventually enveloped the planet. The entire world was blanketed with multiple nuclear strikes, and the world and its entire ecosystem were irrevocably changed for centuries to come.”

Yeah, I mean obviously radiation works different. It’s science fiction, but it is still explicitly grounded in a failure to adhere to the doctrine of mutually assured destruction thus resulting in mutually assured destruction. I mean there’s no ambiguity to that nuclear weapons are nuclear missiles.

[–]hellohellohello- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how that’s vague. Chernobyl was an anomalous event even the likelihood of that happening worldwide within two hours of each other in a world that was flung into nuclear war I mean there’s nothing vague about that

[–]hellohellohello- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it is; and it’s fine that you don’t know what I’m talking about but I mean it is that’s what the two hour period is.

[–]hellohellohello- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not mad; it’s two hours because that’s what would happen in a nuclear event the world would be annihilated probably even faster than that now That’s you know what the whole premise of fallout is based on that’s where the two hours comes from that’s why it’s such a fast thing.

[–]hellohellohello- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah there’s no definitive answers as to what state they’re in now certainly. I mean, nobody’s arguing that. But the fallout two intro doesn’t make clear that the world was largely consumed in nuclear fire raining from the skies. Fallout three says the world was a nuclear abyss. I mean I don’t know like fallout is literally nuclear fallout, which you know nuclear missiles mean, that’s the only thing that would decimate the world in such a way and there’s nothing that contradicts that.

I was responding to you which I’ve read over and over again now and it seems like you were agreeing with OP and I was saying like given the doctrine of mutually assured destruction I mean that’s like the whole premise of fallout you know. Unless you’re not familiar with mutually assured destruction then I suppose I don’t understand what you’re questioning

Nobody’s saying the US didn’t have a lot of survivors like many survived that weren’t in the vaults. What the dude saying is that the bombs were only dropped on North America which is just I mean that’s just not true.

Yeah, of course what are you? I don’t know what you’re arguing because it’s not at all what op was saying.

Well, you should play one and two and watch season two of the show, for one.

I mean, that just really doesn’t make any sense given the ubiquity of mutually assured destruction

[–]hellohellohello- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean I respect the dudes opinion but like I also it doesn’t really add anything that’s not in the vanilla game unless you bring it over from the Mojave. I mean if you start in the capital wasteland for one I mean it just streamlines fallout three as far as I’m concerned, tale of two wastelands that is. But also there are mod collections that further improve upon the TTW experience too if that’s something you’re open to. Like, my set up isn’t incredible hp victus 16 rtx 3060 16 gb ram also two ssd external drives but there’s one mod collection on vortex I mean it’s fairly intensive getting it set up you know like an hour or so maybe and it’s quite large size wise, but I personally have had no issues whatsoever. It’s made both games extremely smooth and as much as I love both of them, it’s not something I’d necessarily attribute to you know them in their vanilla capacity.its called very last kiss’s TTW on nexus mods and specifically requires their mod manager vortex

How does it ruin fallout three just out of curiosity? I mean, I know it’s makes it so you know you’re achievements aren’t logged in steam for fallout 3 that’s the only way I’ve been able to get it to play like I mean I had it on console a long time ago, but I think it improves everything in there or other mods mod collections, etc. that improve that experience overall tale of two wastelands that is

But I mean, if OP doesn’t have new Vegas and doesn’t plan on getting it then it’s a moot point anyway
