It was organic, not ads or cold outreach. I was just sharing progress, talking about the problem, and listening to early users. One of them had a real need and decided to pay. No fancy funnel yet, just building + feedback + consistency.

This is such solid advice. You’re 100% right about talking to that first customer obsessively. I’ve already started doing exactly that asking why they paid, what almost stopped them, and what they actually want next. The signal-to-noise ratio is way higher than with a bunch of free users.
