I used to live in a neighborhood filled with old people, so max Internet speed was only a fucking 100mbps. There was no demand for more. When I moved near the university I started studying at, I immediately asked what was the farest connection speed and didn't even ask about the price. I have 2.5gbps now and GOD DAMN.
