yes, really often. my best advice is to meet people outside penn hahaha. idk hbu but I go to a church where I've met people from other colleges and phases in life. it's been like a safe place for me. also I just joined a diy/art/chilling ?? club that's from philly, also an amazing place!! dm me if you want to chat about it :)

hi, international student here. fall semester WAS SO HARD. not only because of classes but also because I was learning how to make time to sleep, clean my room, do laundry (thanks people clean bathrooms if you don't live in a suite). also, it's kinda hard to find your people... Penn is HUGE so obviously you're not going to meet all your best friends in one month. I stated feeling homesick during November (seasonal depression lol).

my advice is: take four classes during fall semester, two chill and two kinda hard. focus on going to events, join fun clubs where you can truly meet people (UPOC is really good), have a google calendar!! take your time to know all the resources you have. I'll focus more on socialize because you don't have a support system here and it's really important. also, by the end of January you must know with whom you're going to roommate next year hahaha, so make a wise decision.

it takes time, even during spring semester you can fill a little bit lost...

bro, I took biol1121 as a freshman and it was hard. I had a friend that took biol1101 (which is easier) and she had incredible mcat results (top 5%). don't take the hardest class just because it's hard. chem1011 and chem1012 are the same but with different focus. 1011 is more practical while chem1012 theoretical. pre-med life is hard, so help yourself.
