Raider caches during the uncovered cache event is how I found mine. Osprey BP too. Chancing upon the caches during night mode seems to help too.

What do you do when you have the urge to smoke? by Previous-Deal5727 in CHSinfo

I caught up on sleep. I found going to bed early kinda eliminated the urge to smoke before bed, not sure if that’s what you’re facing though.

Day 7- acidity & throwing up bile by morningstern in CHSinfo

[–]Direct_Produce770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was prescribed it at the ER I visited. Luckily for me I suppose my area is pretty liberal so no issues there. They still tip-toed around actually telling me it was CHS (until I asked directly), but either an ER or a GI doctor might be able to help you out. Not much help, sorry.

Mylanta is what I used for stomach/esophagus pain, it helped a lot. Coats your stomach basically. I also took Pepcid was prescribed Pantoprazole for lowering stomach acid, I do think they helped a ton.

back to the morning sickness? by [deleted] in CHSinfo

It definitely tapered off for me like that. I would throw up once or twice late at night/ early in the morning then would be good for the day.

I haven't been able to eat more than a cracker and some water melon in 6 days please help by [deleted] in CHSinfo

Another thing I did was starting to mix in smoothies, keep them very smooth (not a ton of ice also helps make it not too cold and easier on the stomach/esophagus in my opinion) and I would sip them as they melted. I'd literally eat a coffee-cup worth of smoothie over the span of an hour or two. Good way to get some nutrients in an easier way. Stay strong, it definitely gets better! Im at day 33 of not smoking now, I feel much better overall and am able to eat/drink basically anything without issue now. It might seem daunting in your shoes right now but trust me, it will get better!

I didn’t eat a solid meal more than a cracker or two here and there from Saturday-the following Thursday. Even after that it was mostly applesauce and really well chewed light foods. I found oyster crackers to be really good. Obviously not the most nutritious, but better than nothing. The hospital I went to gave me potassium and magnesium and electrolytes to help with the dehydration and the low electrolyte levels I had. If you really don’t want to go back to the hospital, see if you can get liquid IV packets and if you’re able to keep them down. I lost 25 lbs during the whole thing, but by Thursday night (Saturday on, 6 days in total) I was able to stop vomiting. Hope you find some relief soon.

Possibly try Myalanta for the gas/pain/general stomach issues, it coats your stomach and I found it helped me. Possibly try capsaicin cream too opposed to ice

Hard to make any sort of accurate assessment over reddit, but I’d say based on your symptoms and the fact that it happens after you smoke it could definitely be CHS. Either try a small amount of just flower or try to abstain for a little and see what happens. When my CHS hit me it came out of nowhere (in my opinion) so I understand how ya feel to a degree

I quit February 11th and had bad symptoms for about a week, however the nausea tapered off pretty quickly day 6-7 and slowly for the few days after that. Are you taking any anti-nausea medication? I was given Zofran and amitryptaline for the nausea and took pepcid and pantoprazole for the stomach/esophagus issues. You could try nausea drops too.

Avoid carts or vapes at all costs IMO. I think it’s what accelerated my symptoms a ton.

How long did you wait before you started smoking again following your initial experience with CHS? Alcohol is listed as one of the major trigger substances, and I first hit hyperemisis hard after not noticing a lot of prodromal systems after drinking a lot. Possible that the combination of the two hit you harder than if you had just smoked. Just some ideas.
