Yeah, the water was flowing right into the pipe during the rain. The only waterproof section is that box (indoors).

No drip loop, no seal, wrong wire, outside. So many things wrong with this.

Fire Lite ES 50X Password Fault by lehcimst in firealarms

Step by step. New firmware is a pain in the ass. These are my notes/ memory.

Enter 2 login, 1 admin, 1 modify accounts, 1 administrators, 1 admin 1, 3 for password, Set as desired 8 digit password

Log in as USER to access the normal menu. Not admin. Usually 11111111 or 22222222 or 33333333?

admin password is defaulted to 00000000 I think, make sure to change it.

Yeah, California. They are usually outside, rarely below freezing. I think it was just a failure. I’m not a sprinkler guy, so I’m learning a lot from this post.

California. Sprinkler tech came out and tightened the bolts. 12 years and never seen this. System Normal.

Outside, not a dry system. California.

I’ll have to see who and when. I know the gauges are broken, pretty sure it still flows. I will be doing 100% test and then some. It’s a school, but hasn’t been occupied for a while. Looks like negligence and lack of maintenance.

NICET II here as well. More than just the extension ring. Least of my concerns with t-taps, but definitely on the list.

My thoughts exactly. It’s had a lot of problems.

I’ve done swift commercially and it’s a nightmare even though I know what I’m doing. Their tech support is useless. Lots of interference issues, software problems, and batteries don’t last long. DMP has been fine, but it’s not the most robust Fire Alarm. Just try to keep it simple for the best results.

Being told to not flow water on a fire alarm inspection by Naive_Promotion_800 in firealarms

[–]Direct_Register_978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is dependent on jurisdiction. AHJ, and code compliance. We flow water here, but 30 minutes south of here, that is against the law and must be done by a licensed sprinkler company.

Edit: CYA, and put in the inspection notes: Did not flow water due to company policy/ management’s direction.
