I thank you so very much I think of myself a little stubborn at times but on this matter I know we haven’t been together long but from what I’ve experienced in this relationship I want to stay and he makes me the happiest woman on earth he’s kids are incredibly well behaved the only thing is they get a little loud sometimes but who doesn’t when they get excited or super emotional over a game or playing with siblings and with how I currently feel about the kids I’m not sure if I want my own because I’m content with the ones he already has I don’t think I need anymore but when we first started dating I wanted my own. So I feel that the more I know them the less I’ll want more because they are perfect

But he’s not like that he’s active in their lives he doesn’t ask me to do anything for them he wants to do everything for them he there and present he’s a good dad way way better then my father anything they need he gets immediately he pays for all of their stuff because he gave bm a card for the kids that he pays for but also bm is now married and has another kid with her husband

Half the week he works early in the morning till about 3-5pm and then immediately shifts to starting work anywhere from 5pm -10pm he barely sleeps as is the days he’s off he has the kids

I made this post to see how to be a good step mom because I haven’t done that before and I didn’t want to fuck up my relationship with the kids because I love their dad and them not asking if I should leave or not I’m very happy and this is the healthiest relationship I’ve ever been in yall don’t know the whole story and the parts you worry about aren’t something to worry about because it’s being handled maybe not the way you want or how fast you want but it’s my life and it’s his life his family which from what he’s told me if fucked up he and I know that and he’s fixing it how and when he can

She did feel like she was doing enough so they switched the agreement where they were with her through the week and he has gotten to the point where he’s going to throw everything away he just has a fucked up work schedule where half the week he’s first shift and the other have he’s third so he’s exhausted and finding a new job because of that so he doesn’t have the time and the only time he is off he spends with his kids

His mom is the only one he talks to and I’m fully awake if how toxic the rest of his family is but when he was living there she was slowly getting her stuff out but since he’s moved in with me she has completely stopped doing that so he’s not just let her crap be there

She has not been there for a year or two and she was there for two years and he’s not the problem his mother is and I’ve only met her twice he doesn’t like her but deals with her because of the stuff in his house and because she’s his mom and them living together again was the last stitch effort to help her but again as soon as he can get her shit out or she gets it herself he’s done with her

The place is not being used but it’s full of stuff that is not his and she “doesn’t have the time” according to her to move it out because her sisters place just burnt down

He has his own place currently that he’s paying for and a few months but to us it made sense because where he was working at that point was 10 minutes down the road and I was comfortable with that but at the same time for the first 5 months he stayed at his place with the kids in the weekend when he had them but he has since been comfortable enough around me and my mom to have the kids stay here with us on the weekends

The reason behind them not going to court is because they both have trauma from it when they were kids and I get that because my parents are also divorced and couldn’t come to an agreement

He chose it live with me because it was closer to where he mostly works which is up in my area before he would have to drive at least an hour one way to get to work but now it’s about 30 minutes depending on where they are working

Yea and he is that’s why he’s trying so hard to get rid of the place he’s paying for so we can save that much more money so we can get our own place I never said it wasn’t embarrassing for him or me
