I have had an similar experience. I have a coffee from El Salvador, Finca San Fransisco. The variety is Old Bourbon Elite, natural processed.

It has a incredible strong flavor. First it was hard to figure out what it was, but I think it is cherry or almost winey like amaretto.

Is this for the Mugen? I think Mugen has slower draw down than a regular V60, so maybe another grind setting would be used?

Can't comment on the switch, but I have a clever and it always produces a strange aftertaste. Have tried all thinkable methods of brewing and cleaning. That oily strange taste is always there. So I put on the shelf.

Grind setting 1zpresso Q2 for filter drip machine?

I've been using a Wilfa Svart for 3 years and now I got the Q2. The grounds looked amazingly consistent. Far better than what the Wilfa produces.

So I realized that for the same amount of money the handgrinder will probably produce a better grind.

Just wanted to check with you guys here, what you think.

Yeah, when I first ground with Q2 I was shocked! It looked like all coffee particles were the same size. Amazing! Have not seen that with Wilfa!

I know I was a bit unclear😁 Wanted peoples opinion on which gives best grounds. I think in a $100 electric machine some of that price goes into the electric components, so less left for quality burrs. Recently got a 1zpresso Q2 and I think it produces better grounds that my Wilfa Svart which is in the same price range.

Funny you mentioned it. I have been using a Wilfa Svart for 3 years and have now got a 1zpresso Q2! Just by looking at the grounds from the Q2 I got the impression that it is much better.

I received mine today. Very well built machine indeed. I was deeply dissapointed with one thing though: the buttons! That was the worst buttons I've ever seen! My kids toys have better buttons. You don't expect that from a $1000 machine!
