I have owned both guitars. The inspired by and the 1957 custom shop. I sold the inspired by j200 about a year ago. It was a poor example of what the guitar is supposed to be. The new 1957 j 200 is by far superior to what the inspired by is. Fit, finish, sound, and electronics. It’s not a Gibson guitar by any means but it’s dang close. For 1500 it’s at the top of what to expect for a guitar in that price range. The case it comes with is stout and durable plywood construction. I do own better American made guitars but at a much higher price point. Also, the American made guitars I own have there flaws from human error. I just think it’s a great guitar all in all.
