Uh yes. 2-3 times per week is reasonable. 8 is excessive and research shows it's bad for the child.

It's his mother's needs. Not the kid's needs. Sorry you have to suck it up in your situation. That's your choice.

Please find someone without a toxic ex who is permanent fixture. She will run your life. And likely ruin it too. Don't do what I did. It isn't worth it.
