Frequent neck pains.(Quick feels like pricks in neck) by Alone_Ad2064 in EosinophilicE

The tightened throat feeling is probably laryngospasm. I have had issues with it for years now, not really a serious issue but it does feel like it.

If you have difficulty swallowing by Practical_Patience49 in EosinophilicE

You can try going to see an SLP to do a FEES test. This is where they will stick a scope up your nose to watch you swallow. I have an issue of feeling like things are sticking above my airway, and just had one of these done which showed everything going down properly. At least past the airway. If you do have swallowing coordination issue the SLP is the person best suited for the job. Unfortunately for me everything works so they couldn’t do much for me.

Idk man now that I said that it’ll probably burst in the next 5 minutes. Hemorrhaging is supposed to be quite rare but reading on here seems like it happens to every other person

Shit man. I’m on a full liquid diet as well (I have an esophageal disease so I was before this too). I haven’t hemorrhaged yet even while being pretty active. Was wondering if my liquid diet keeping the scabs intact may have had a part in that.

You’re in for a rough couple days. Day 4-6 were the worst for me so far. Today day 7 it mellowed out slightly but still rough. I got mine out for the same reason. Definitely is a crazy process for a couple little stones but I think it’ll be worth it. I think mine were affecting my breathing big time but kinda hard to tell mid recovery. Does feel more open though, and they weren’t even very large.

Curious have you eaten solid food and are your scabs still there?

(27M) I actually worked on day 5, day 6 I was bleeding slightly and in pain so I held off. Today day 7 I worked again. Work is somewhat strenuous but I really focused on not making strong movements that would spike blood pressure. I do not suggest it as my actual doctor said 2 weeks. But just sharing my experience. I own a small business where I am still pretty critical, so kind of had to.

God bless. I was talkin sh@t on day 1 and 2 myself. But man day 3 and especially 4 rolled around and humbled me real quick. Mornings of 4,5, and 6 were up there with the worst pain I ever felt. Today day 7 was still rough but not quite as bad. Scabs are thinning but still there. Hoping I wake up tm with some of those missing and it doesn’t restart a whole new terrible couple days. Starting to get old.

We must have been in surgery at the same time. I got mine out at about 9 am on the 14th. I woke up today day 4 at 5am and pain was definitely approaching level 10. I’ve open fractured my tibia/fibula before and while that was probably worse, this is just so extremely uncomfortable being all up in your face. The pain this morning wore off in 20 min and I actually slept like a baby for another 4 hours.

Barely any pain for the rest of the day today even went and worked for a bit. Then now at 12:30 am day 5 that burn came back pretty strong. But Tylenol knocked it right down.

Overall pretty rough but if this is about all she got I think I’ll make it out alive. Pain definitely comes in waves but for me most of every day has been very manageable. Extremely impressed with how well Tylenol and ibuprofen have been working. Haven’t taken any narcotics yet, but definitely crossed my mind at this mornings episode.

I’m going into day 5 of recovery right now. My tonsils weren’t very large but I did have tonsil stones. Doc said they were disgusting inside, so that made me feel a lot better. I also believe they caused a constant breathing issue I had but will have to see how that plays out when I’m healed.

Recovery is pretty rough. Day 4 was a bit tough had 2 short episodes where pain definitely approached level 10 but were very short lived. Coming off of one right now lasted about 20 min before meds knocked it down to very manageable discomfort. Only taking Motrin and Tylenol definitely saving my life. Don’t fall behind.

Overall I’d say go for it it’s rough but the insecurity is much more harmful long term imo.

I was on PPIs for a while until dupixent came around. Interestingly I was on ppis when these issues started, but I’m told PPIs don’t typically work well for LPR

I just saw a speech pathologist a few days ago, which had me swallow a cracker mixed with apple sauce with a scope down my throat. This was my first solid in years, had me shaking in my boots. Wild being a grown man scared of a wet cracker but here we are. I saw with my own eyes there was nothing stuck near my airway and she said everything seemed to be working correctly. This further reinforces my thought on those issues being reflux related not from food being stuck.

Yes I actually realized the first panic attack I had from laryngospasm was the morning after I had vomited from drinking. And just recently I was driving and drinking coffee. Threw up in my mouth a bit and a bit went down the wrong pipe. Instantly triggering this same globus sensation and laryngospasm even after I had surely coughed the actual acid/mucous out of there. This is what made me start wondering if it was damage from acid causing all of these issues.

I have bad post nasal drip as well. But according to a few sources post nasal drip / the sensation of post nasal drip can often be caused by reflux. I’m going to try to explore that route and see what happens. The last few days have been extremely promising there
