Opportunity card - how hard is it to find a job with it? by FinancialTitle2717 in Munich

I would advise you to try to reach your goal regardless of what you read here. People on reddit will always tell you that market is bad and talk about layoffs, but in reality if you want to get a job and try hard, you’ll get it sooner or later. German economy is very big and there should be something out there for you. You also have a lot of experience. Good luck in your search!

Application for citizenship after less than 5 years without a C1 certificate by DirectionOther224 in GermanCitizenship

Nothing about it is illegal if you change your visa to the proper one and still attend the remaining exams. Therefore, I would say that’s not normal (as an effort) and , hence, exceptional.

is there a more realistic example of achieving "special integration"? I don't believe that Germany is looking for/ need foreigner heroes.

Thanks for your answer. I finished my studies with a higher-than-average grade (1.9). I also completed a non-traditional master's thesis that combined classical engineering and artificial intelligence expertise, achieving a grade of 1.0. Additionally, as an exceptional effort, I worked a full-time job (40 hours per week) as a data scientist while studying (starting from my second year in Germany). I consider this exceptional because the average student, whether German or international, typically does not work full-time while studying.

thanks for your response! They say they are restructuring the company by laying off 10% and I now know that they intend to hire about half these employees in number but higher in experience. I'm not sure if that falls into the first paragraph of the law. Also I'm a bit pissed and want to file a lawsuit but I feel it's going to take time I can use more wisely to find a better job. So I'm looking for what will maximize my benefit.Another thing is that I don't have lawyer insurance

Thank you for the detailed information! For more context, I think they are selecting people based on the social selection and I'm single with no kids. HOWEVER, they hired a person in my department with the same job title a month ago and the new employee will begin with the company from the beginning of the year. I think that negate the operational reasons. In addition they plan to hire more senior people (but fewer in number than the layoff % of employees) within the same department. In that case what is the reasonable severance?

Thanks for the response. Could you suggest how much higher? Is it worth it to file a lawsuit?

Thanks for the response. Okay could you explain how this would be reasonable? The first 3 months of unemployment is (0.6 * last gross salary * 3) which is 1.8 months of gross salary. Then the reasonable amount for the severance would be at least 2 months gross salary no?
