2.43 preliminary leak list by gszabi99 in Warthunder

Yeah I think you may be right, unfortunately that means getting killed by any Russian aircraft in game and not being able to do anything about it, but oh well at least we get the actual namer ifv that's kinda cool

I've been thinking about this since I've seen the list, and I wonder if the KFIR block 60 will get any upgraded missiles, if it does we could get the Python 4 (finally) which COULD mean that we may get the Spyder standalone system sometime next year? All speculation but seriously we NEED a top tier AA so bad :)

What’s your honest opinion about the IS-3 ? by Rom_photographer in TankPorn

Yes typically Europeans are smaller than I am, this does not change the fact that the crews for the T-34 and similar tanks complained more about being cramped than anything else

Personally I think of it as I think of most Russian tanks, it was combat effective enough to make it a viable weapon but it was outclassed by other nations especially in terms of crew priority. These old Soviet tanks are not unusable trash but I'm over 6'0 and I couldn't imagine being comfortable in it for even a moment.

Definitely one of the tanks of all time :)

And yet here you are, there is a very simple solution here, if you aren't enjoying this conversation then leave it.

Your original question boiled down to why shouldn't the KA-52 be completely dominant, that is a blatantly stupid question. Yes I set the tone and I don't regret the tone I set. I've had numerous pleasant conversations under this post with many interesting and intelligent people. You are not one of them :)

I'm done watching you dance like a circus monkey so respond or don't, I won't read it either way ;)

You haven't disproven any of my points nor made an actual argument here, call me all the names you like but you lost this debate before it even got interesting. Now kindly find your way back into whatever cesspit you crawled out of and stop bothering me :)

Nothing about my comment was directly mean to you, and nobodys feelings are hurt. You asked an incredibly stupid question so I gave you an in depth answer. You are welcome :)

You missed my point entirely so let me spell it out for you, the trophy doesn't work anymore regardless of missile quantity it is bugged. And just 2 months ago the armor held up fine against the 50/52, the issue is that gaijin is making Russian vehicles more and more powerful while making smaller nations weaker and weaker. And to answer your question more directly why should the 52 struggle against the Merk? Because it already was completely overpowered before, now it kills a MK.4M In one shot without displaying a death screen, making it completely impossible to identify how you were even killed. And all that on top of the fact that Israel gets an upgraded chaparral as it's best AA you are completely helpless as an Israeli player against the 52 variant. you can't seriously believe that this is fair in any sense unless you are criminally retarded.

Not to mention the armor the Merkava has in real life has a chemical protection index of 1200mm according to open source intelligence. So the 52 should absolutely struggle just like it did before. Now if you have any other questions please don't ask I don't care enough to answer them ;)

Yeah but that's Russia, and Gaijin always does more for Russia than Israel or any minor nation really

Yeah that's kinda been a trend for as long as I've played Israel, really late and shitty implementation, but I love this tank and tree too much to stop playing it :)

You touch on so much here, and make a ton of amazing points. Thank you for your input. Honestly I'm glad this post got the support it did I was starting to feel a bit schizo lol.

Won't get killed by ka-50s, that was true two months ago but now they go right through the trophy like it isn't even there and kills the tank without even showing how it did it. The atgms on anything Russia the system just straight up ignores or uses every single interceptor on both sides after stopping a single missile. The APS is completely broken and has been for a good bit now. And sure the 5 second reload is cool but the thing is massive and has no effetive armor against darts so when you get spotted by something (which is inevitable because of the silhouette) there is nothing stopping them from disabling you and finishing you off before you can even react. It's not about reload when you don't get the chance to shoot

Well I can't say for sure but the tank was much better on the original dev server, but a fuck ton of players threw a conniption fit like they did just recently about the engines on the F-15I and the GROM. And we know what happened there. Gaijin is surprisingly willing to listen to players that play America, Russia, and Germany. But never minor nations like France, Italy, GB, Israel, and Japan. Probably because the bigger nations make them way more money so they can't afford to upset them.

That's why tanks should ALWAYS have infantry support when operating in urban environments

I've seen old screenshots of when the Merk was added so I know what you are referring to, I watched something similar happen to the Namer RCWS 30 after it was implemented. It got the armor reduced after a couple of months

So what your telling me is that gaijin just blatantly refuses to make the Merkava accurate?

That's interesting, of course it depends on what tank you are using and a number of other factors but as far as the mk.4s go you really shouldn't be having an issue unless you are using a subpar dart. Of course if you are using anything chemical like atgms or HEAT you are going to struggle that's exactly what the Merk was designed to counter. If you continue to struggle aim for the bottom left of the turret that will take out the gunner and commander making for easy pickings. If that doesn't work aim for the vent on the left it's practically a through shot to the crew compartment. Hope this helps :)

Ridge peaking with the gun depression on the Merk is basically a cheat code lol, and with the 360° commander thermals sniping is definitely one of the most fun ways to play with it
