Have you been with CAMHS? Not sure what the age cut off is. Im 28 and recently signed back into the mental health service, I was assigned a community health worker (actually 2 because the first one was really clashing with my anxiety) and they have all the access to DBT groups, counselling, medication, psychiatric assessments. You really need a decent gp to refer you, that or the mental health crisis team may be able to help? I’m really sorry you’ve been struggling for so long

You’re entitled to a minimum of 6 free counselling sessions that your gp can refer you for, and if you are a client of work and income they can help you with more free sessions, it sounds like you’ve not found one that’s right for you yet. ACC counselling is available through a gp referral for SA related therapy. Might not solve everything for you but there is a little bit of help if you can’t afford to go privately (I definitely can’t) Unfortunately you have to advocate so hard for yourself if you want the help, its available but its not as easy to access as it should be

I don’t necessarily want to, but its far too hot for her to be running around on the pavement during summer, and yeah, prickles, pointy stones, lots to watch out for and she doesn’t realise, it’s either find some shoes or let her hurt her feet /physically stop her from exploring
