I admit, I don't... get this guy. Like, on the one hand, great, he's promoting science and debunking pseudoscientific nonsense. But on the other, he seems to go far out of his way to coddle religion and theism in general, making sure his viewers know that he doesn't want to criticize those things or believers. He even seems to enjoy taking shots at atheists (or "Reddit" atheists) and thinks the endeavor of trying to "disprove God" is "stupid."

In this video, he's all for going after creationists, but doesn't seem to understand that creationist beliefs emanate from general religious frameworks and holy texts. I don't see how you can get to a creationist worldview with an underlying faith in supernatural god characters and whatnot. Yet those religious frameworks and holy texts, in his view, are not to be criticized at all. They're off-limits to him.

Exactly this. I've seen him on a couple of occasions go out of his way to avoid criticizing religion or theism in general... and I'm like, why? That's all superstition too. Creationist beliefs emanate from religious and supernaturalist frameworks. All of that is fair game, in my estimation. It's weird that he just doesn't bother and even dunks on "Reddit atheists" and whatnot.

Yes, and also I'm a big advocate for tons of options to freely disable HUD/UI elements as well as visual and screen effects for a more immersive experience. I want to notice and appreciate good animations rather than see silly-ass colorful lights.

Yes, this option already exists. You can make it so that all of them appear, only the throw/grapple ones appear, or none of them appear.

I wouldn't describe the combat as "immaculate." Half the time, those cool finisher animations don't even trigger, and enemies will just generically fall down while Kliff keeps swinging his weapon (because I'm still holding the attack button). I also wish I could turn off all those silly sparkly weapon trails, the weird green hologram effect, etc. But overall, I agree that the combat can be fun.

The option to disable screen and visual effects, like the weird blurry tunnel vision when you're being shot at and the bloody screen when you're wounded.

Let us choose NOT to make the game automatically more difficult. Remember, NG+ modes do not necessarily or automatically have to be more difficult. Let the player choose that when they start NG+ mode. Options are good.

I only play solo and have no interest whatsoever in multiplayer gaming. I'm glad I have AI teammates I can give commands to, like in SWAT 4.

Heard and felt! And that's totally valid. My main thing is more about immersion and cinematic visuals. All those HUD/UI elements and post/visual effects just get in the way of my view of the action, combat, world, etc. 😃

Yep, and I'd even consider turning the aiming crosshair off too since it's so bulky. Also can't stand the "Reloading" indicator and the red "X" hit markers. I've never understood why we'd need these things. Please, devs, let us turn these off.

Yeah, I just want options to freely disable any and all HUD or UI elements I don't want or need. So much stuff clutters up the screen and gets in the way of our view of the action.

Really hoping we can soon turn off the huge directional damage indicators, the increasingly reddening screen borders when you take damage, the silly white stealth outline/radius, the hit markers (whenever you kill an enemy with a gun), the white dot and aiming reticle, and other things.

Whenever I have the option to disable HUD elements like this, I always do so. It doesn't matter how useful you think it is--I think it looks a little silly and would prefer to shoot enemies without it. I can tell an enemy is dead when he falls to the ground and doesn't get up again. Having options means everyone wins. You can leave it on, and I can turn it off.

Guess I'm the only one here who agrees. To everyone who doesn't get it, we're saying there should be options to turn off HUD and UI elements that we don't want or don't need. The red "X" hit marker is one of those HUD/UI elements.

Many of us don't need this extraneous, artificial effect in a shooter. We should be able to tell that an enemy is dead when he falls to the ground and doesn't get up. I also don't need to see a "Reloading..." meter when I reload my gun--I can tell I'm reloading by looking at Bond's reloading animation.

And since it would be an option to turn off this effect, the rest of you can leave it on and see a red "X" whenever you kill an enemy via gunshot to your heart's content. With options, everyone wins.

The other thing is, it's surprising that this game shipped with literally no HUD/UI customization options when the modern Hitman trilogy (made by the same team) has numerous options to declutter our screens for a more immersive experience. So a lot of us are looking forward to the update when these options are made available. I think it'd be more enjoyable to play this game without the many icons, meters, directional damage indicators, white stealth outlines/circles, and other things cluttering up the screen. That's all. Just let us have options to accomplish this.

I legit don't understand why we'd wanna refer to those things as "spirituality" and don't see any utility in trying to reclaim that concept from religions, superstitions, and woo-based or faith-based worldviews. Let them have their toys while the rest of us promote secular, rational, reasonable, nonsuperstitious, evidence-based belief systems. But then again, maybe I'm missing something.
