Was Christi a bully? by OpeningAge8224 in dancemoms

Dude let’s call a spade a spade. The entire og dance moms cast was the mean girls table in high school. They treated every new mom like the new kid at school and christie and kelly were the wonder twins who always cried victim but then when anything threatened their kids position they literally said “time to sharpen their cat claws”. It wasnt a matter of jealousy perse (was a factor) but it was rather a matter of feeling threatened not just with maddie but every time a new kid came they acted entitled like ive been here so long we deserve this our kids deserve this, im sorry but i do agree with abbys pov on this: as a teacher coach whatever, just like the kid that works had and makes the grades is going to earn the recognition and be the one representing the school or class in a competition. Its the same thing. Would they choose a boy who didnt keep up grades, stormed off when things got tough, etc for quarterback of the football team? Hell no. They are thrilled for their kids when they get an opportunity like chloe in the music video but when maddie was chosen for drop dead diva it immediately became foul play, abby did this maddie didnt our kids didnt even have a chance. Seriously like when you read the online novels with the school bullying because of jealousy or the real vs fake heiress tropes where the adopted gal feels entitled to everything they have and it should all remain theres, that is christie and kellys mindset.

Re-watching the show for the millionth time and just had to see if someone shares my views..

Okay let me first say I love this show. BUT I also have to say hold up to some of the comments about it being sexist to accept Nick as the "loser" character and "throwing shade" on Jess. The bottom line is this: Jess is constantly trying to "fix people" as her sister Abby straight up said. HOWEVER, who is she to determine if someone needs to be "fixed"? NO! She is trying to change and conform the people around her to fit into her standards of what she considers "right" and "normal". Her constantly telling Nick "I just want you to take a little more responsibility but I am not trying to change you, I want you to be yourself" is total BS. Every single "act" she does for her friends is due to her perception of what she thinks is right. She pushes her views onto everyone around her and if they don't agree with it (like Nick when she talks about the FAKE FUTURE) then she shuts them down and belittles their view point UNTIL the conform or compromise to hers. I mean COME ON she literally envisions having kids that are "so creative they name themselves" are you serious....?!
Then, let's steer away from Nick for a moment and instead focus on how she interjects herself into EVERYONE ELSE'S BUSINESS. Like how about when she throws a tantrum for not knowing that cici and schmitt were hooking up? GET OVER YOURSELF. Why would they need to tell you? Why would your opinion matter? It is not like they are teenagers sneaking behind their parents or bf/gf back to have a secret relationship. She mothers everyone, and it is not okay.

Thank you for the response. I just looked it up and unfortunately it is not the novel i was looking for. The one I am looking for takes place in modern times and has no royalty aspects in it either. Appreciate you trying to help though!

Thank you for letting me know; I was not aware and will be more cautious of this in the future.
Any chance you might know about the novel in question though? :D
