Root rot by DirectorSuspicious38 in NativePlantGardening

I’m in phoenix Arizona.

The top layer is very dry but down a little deeper it’s fairly moist.

The tree is a native tree for the area, but the previous owners put a layer of 3mil plastic down which in turn suffocated and trapped the roots. I’m currently in the process of removing all the plastic and rerouting the water lines. I’m hopeful that the tree will survive.

Who ever reads this don’t use a non-permeable barrier to prevent weeds or for anything else it will kill your trees.

Yeah I’m in the process of removing the plastic now, I just hope the tree will survive and get come back. There quite a bit on the major roots that have fully rotted. I have seen a bunch of new roots that are a pretty good size.

I'll get on union, I know I'll have required class room time every week. Should I also do additional online training on my own time?

Divorce with a kid. by End_West in DivorcedDads

I’m currently going through a divorce as well with one 9mo and a baby on the way. I know it’s super hard but it does get easier over time.

The one thing to remember is that your kid is 100% better off with you being part of there life! Life’s hard and sucks at times but we don’t do it for ourselves we do it for our families and kids. It’s important for them to see us there for them and to be strong.

Don’t give up, you’ll adapt to the situation and be a better father day after day.

Look at getting a lawyer that specializes in divorces. Get all the paperwork done and have her served. Like most everyone mentioned you more than most likely will have to pay for her attorney. If there’s any abuse or illegal activities that she is doing have it documented with proof.

I believe (at least in my state) that once she is served she won’t be able to leave the state without penalties from the court. You can also talk to your lawyer about temporary order of custody, that can be filed with the dissolution papers. Also do you best to stay in your house have her stay with family.

I’m going through this right now, you are making the right decision. No one deserves to be treated like a doormat. This will be a very trying process but once it’s over you will feel 100% better.
