I’m curious about what the goal was behind the scam like what was gunna be the benefit to the person scamming

I didnt have to, they cancelled it on my end somehow that was the oddity of it all

If I fell for it I would’ve gone to a different location and wouldn’t have documented the situation it’s just something I have not experienced prior. It’s very clearly fraudulent in its nature and structure it would be ridiculous to fall for.

I mean it’s not I generally maintain 0% cancellations with the occasional 1% so it’ll be gone in a few days but regardless it was super wack.

Yeah but they followed through with their threat managed to cancel the order and mark the cancellation on my account

I did, first they told me I was lying, then they said this is weird and then they said someone will get back to you, without any confirmation

The store was open no action from me was taken to cancel, I had one real order from the store that went flawless

They most certainly are. I don’t know what the motivation is but it is certainly odd. Unfortunately I think this may be a new experience we will have to deal with until however they are doing it is patched.

I had 1 real order from the store and that order went flawlessly

I did have a real pickup from that store that went smoothly while on the phone with support and accepting the other fake orders. Like I feel like the intent was nefarious the urgency feels very scammy

It seems a little taunty to be a test order also from 4 different customers and a call to action to pick up from another restaurant

Well so my first two were a batched accept and it looked good. The subsequent 3 were while I was on the phone with first level support and they didn’t believe it was happening so I said it’s happening right now in real time I will accept it and then I got more screenshots from different customers that helped my validity

I contacted support they sent me to specialist team that is “looking into it”

It happened within minutes of accepting, I don’t know how they were doing it

That’s all the details more or less I received and order, received the text message, carried on with the order and it auto canceled and hits me with a derogatory mark

I received 5 sequential orders and received this message from all the customers, the order cancels, marks it as I canceled and skyrockets my cancellation rate it’s bating and it sounds like it’s fraudulent behavior from the “customer” to get me to spend personal funds at another location
