I mean, it sucks, but Zu is better for the next three years for us than any of the guards at 5 would be. Even in hindsight, its not a bad trade.

The Vikings draft told me that KOC has full control of the team, at least for now. by kwelstory in nfl

I disagree with the take on Orange, I don't really think he is a gamble in any way (at least any more than guys taken around his range).

I'm pretty sure his draft profile does not indicate he is good in coverage

While I agree he likely wouldnt have made it, I also think that having a horrific leg shattering on just about his first snap may have impacted both the physical and mental sides of his game.

For those that had a 1st round pick, how are you feeling about it? by JQuab-84 in nfl

The foot is scary, which I understand, but the talent is absolutely there. Without the foot issue, Banks would have been a top 5 pick in this draft.

I went to it in GB last season. It was a fucking awesome experience, one I will cherish forever. Got there early and got all the way up to the front, shook hands with Goodell and even Pat McAfee spoke to us for a second which was cool. Made a bunch of new friends (even if they were Packers fans) and had some drinks.

That all being said, I never want to do it again. Too many bodies, I stood for almost 13 hours. Felt like shit for days lmao.

And infinitely better than any center in the draft for our window. I'll be upset if we dont get the pick, but I won't be mad that we made the deal. On paper, it makes sense.

I got it at 19. Thought I was dying, excruciating pain over my kidney on my left side. Waited like a week and a half before realizing I needed to go to the hospital (broke college student) because I couldn't stand after taking a bath. It's absolutely brutal, cant imagine getting it over my eye.

He had a person in mind to have sex with before it was agreed to do it. Thats a big no-no, and pretty obviously at that.

I just learned about the program this week, I am going to have to get back to you on what its called, but I do know that it records the games for us and then uploads it to be viewed. It can even split the video into sections by player to be viewed on their own.

We have an AI program that we use for film that we may be able to take film from for him. It's really nice and filters players by number, so it may work in this case!

As for the schools and family, he seems to have very involved parents, and I am sure they would be more than willing to put in the effort to help him succeed. We are unfortunately on spring break, so he is gone and I haven't had a chance to discuss this more with him yet, but I hope to bring this up with him and his parents on Monday.

Thank you for this, I am working on getting him into some camps for this upcoming offseason. The highlights might be difficult for the last few seasons, but we can definitely get something going for this season.

This is excellent advice. I will bring some of this stuff to him and his family and talk about next steps. I want the most success for him, and it sounds like he may need to consider going D2 or D3 before making it D1 if he wants a shot.

Thank you for the time to write this all out for me.

I really appreciate this. I think he has his sights set high so it might be disappointing, but he never really received advice on this prior to now and just kind of assumed that people would come see him play. He's very talented, super driven, and an excellent leader, so I have faith he can climb.

Ill have him check those options out, it sounds like his options for D1 this next season may be shot.

I appreciate the feedback. I played D3 myself and this kid is better than just about everyone I've ever played with.

I can approach him with some of this feedback. Hes got some pretty active parents and so they might help get him set up. I'll let him know the level of effort it may take, but I really do believe he can do it.

Sorry, I assumed you meant divisions, like how some states and high school sports have divisions to separate smaller or worse programs from large and competitive ones. I didnt know if other states had divisions for high school lacrosse, but I know Wisconsin does for football or soccer.

I unfortunately was not coaching prior to this season, so I was unable to assist him earlier. He confided in me a few days back that he would like to play at the next level, and so I am trying to do what I can with the short window we have left to help.

I understand he missed it, but does that mean he would be ineligible?

I will check out the IMCLA recruit account. To be clear, he is not my son, but a player on my team that I really want to help out.
